Radio Futura
Radio Futura was a Spanish pop rock group. They rose to become one of the most popular bands in Spain during the 1980s and early 1990s. In 1989 they were voted the best Spanish act of the 1980s. The beginnings In 1979, painter, amateur singer and synthesizer experimenter Herminio Molero approached some of his acquaintances in order to form a pop-rock band. The final selection included the Auserón brothers, Luis and Santiago (who wrote reviews at the time in a music magazine under the name ''Corazones Automáticos''), Enrique Sierra (guitar player from Kaka de Luxe) and percussionist Javier Pérez Grueso. They got their name Radio Futura ("Future Radio") from an Italian independent radio station. A recording studio is a specialized facility for sound recording, mixing, and audio production of instrumental or vocal musical performances, spoken words, and other sounds. They range in size from a small in-home project studio large enough to record a single singer-guitarist, to a large building with space for a full orchestra of 100 or more musicians. Sigma Sound Studios was a recording studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.. It was founded in 1968 by recording engineer Joseph Tarsia. Located at 212 North 12th Street in Philadelphia, it was one of the first studios in the United States to offer 24-track recording capacity and the first anywhere to successfully employ console automation. Tarsia, formerly chief engineer at Philadelphia's Cameo-Parkway Studios, also opened Sigma Sound Studios of New York City in 1977, at the Ed Sullivan Theater building. I-Level
I-Level were a British post-disco, contemporary R&B, R&B band, known for their underground UK club tracks "Minefield" and "Give Me" (also released as "Give Me What You Can't Get Back"). Under license to the US label Epic Records, the band had some chart success in the UK and US. Other tracks by the outfit included "In the Sand" and "In the River". History Sam Jones met Joe Dworniak at Music Works, Holloway Road Studio, where the latter worked as an audio engineer. At the time Jones was a member of the band Brimstone and later they went on to form I-Level with Duncan Bridgeman. They were signed to Virgin Records in 1982 by Mick Clark and were signed a publishing deal with April Music by Lucien Grange. They went on to release two albums and eight singles and were awarded 'Most Promising Newcomers' by the readers of the music magazine ''Blues & Soul'' in 1982. Duncan Bridgeman
1 Giant Leap is a British electronic music duo consisting of the two principal artists, Jamie Catto (Faithless founding member) and Duncan Bridgeman. Career Based in the UK, the two musicians set out to create a multimedia project that would encompass a CD, DVD and cinematic presentation that would offer a complete artistic statement. The project offers music, digital video footage shot over the course of six months by Catto and Bridgeman, images, rhythms and spoken word content. The band was signed to the Palm record label and its eponymous CD was released on 9 April 2002. Ariola (also known as Ariola Records, Ariola-Eurodisc and BMG Ariola) is a German record label.
