I-Level
I-Level were a British post-disco, contemporary R&B, R&B band, known for their underground UK club tracks "Minefield" and "Give Me" (also released as "Give Me What You Can't Get Back"). Under license to the US label Epic Records, the band had some chart success in the UK and US. Other tracks by the outfit included "In the Sand" and "In the River". History Sam Jones met Joe Dworniak at Music Works, Holloway Road Studio, where the latter worked as an audio engineer. At the time Jones was a member of the band Brimstone and later they went on to form I-Level with Duncan Bridgeman. They were signed to Virgin Records in 1982 by Mick Clark and were signed a publishing deal with April Music by Lucien Grange. They went on to release two albums and eight singles and were awarded 'Most Promising Newcomers' by the readers of the music magazine ''Blues & Soul'' in 1982. The Love Movement
''The Love Movement'' is the fifth studio album by American hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest, and their last album released during group member Phife Dawg's lifetime. Released on September 29, 1998, by Jive Records, it is a concept album, exploring the lyrical theme of love. Musically, it is a continuation of the group's previous album, ''Beats, Rhymes and Life'', featuring minimalist R&B and jazz-oriented production by The Ummah. The lead single, " Find a Way", charted on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and was followed by a second single, " Like It Like That". The album debuted at number three on the ''Billboard'' 200 and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on November 1, 1998. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming. The OCC produces its charts by gathering and combining sales data from retailers through market researchers Kantar, and claims to cover 99% of the singles market and 95% of the album market, and aims to collect data from any retailer who sells more than 100 chart items per week. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. Lost Boyz are an American hip hop group from Queens, New York, consisting of MC Mr. Cheeks, Freaky Tah, and K Chrys. Originally in the early 90's LB consisted of Mr. Cheeks, Freaky Tah, Spigg Nice, and Pretty Lou. Member K Chrys or “Kacey Chrysler” has been in ongoing social media controversy dating back to 2018. Dozens of women have come forward claiming that Chrysler had been predatory while providing screenshots of him soliciting nude photos from them. Chrysler’s tactic appears to be privately messaging women with the simple sentence “R U signed?” or the champagne glass emoji.
