RK Sintelon
RK Sintelon () was a Serbian handball club based in Bačka Palanka. History The club was founded in 1952 as RK Tekstilac. They changed their name to RK Sintelon in 1970 after being acquired by the textile factory of the same name. In 1994, the club earned promotion to the top flight for the first time ever. They would win their first trophy in June 2000 by capturing the national cup. During the 2002–03 season, the club went through financial difficulties and withdrew from the national championship before the end of the campaign. They returned to the top flight two years later. In 2007, the club changed its name to RK Tarkett due to changes in the club's ownership. They eventually withdrew from the Serbian Handball Super League after the start of the 2009–10 season. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. Žarko Šešum
Žarko Šešum (; born 16 June 1986) is a retired Serbian handball player. Club career Born in Bačka Palanka, Šešum started out at his hometown club Sintelon. He was promoted to the senior squad in the 2002–03 season, at age 16. In early 2007, Šešum was transferred to Hungary and signed with MKB Veszprém. He helped the side win three consecutive championships. In 2010, Šešum moved to Germany and joined Rhein-Neckar Löwen, spending the next four years with the club. He subsequently played for fellow German team Frisch Auf Göppingen from 2014 to 2018, winning two successive EHF Cup titles (2016 and 2017). International career Youth At youth level, Šešum was an instrumental member of the Serbia and Montenegro winning squad at the European Under-18 Championship in August 2004. European Handball Federation
The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations (England and Scotland), and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. History EHF was founded on 17 November 1991 in Berlin, Germany, although the first EHF Congress convened on 5 June 1992 and assigned EHF's headquarters to Vienna, Austria from 1 September that year. In 2012 the EHF Office celebrated 20 years since it first opened its doors. Jovica Elezović
Jovica Elezović (; born 2 March 1956) is a Serbian former handball coach and player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1980 Summer Olympics and in the 1984 Summer Olympics. Club career Elezović started playing handball for his hometown club Vrbas at the age of 19. He also spent one season with Crvenka, before joining Borac Banja Luka in 1977. Over the years, Elezović established himself as one of the best players in Yugoslavia, helping his team win the championship in the 1980–81 season. He also played with Proleter Zrenjanin for one season, before going abroad. In 1985, Elezović moved to Germany and signed with Reinickendorfer Füchse. Zoran Kurteš
Zoran Kurteš ( Serbian Cyrillic: Зopан Куртeш; December 23, 1965 – May 7, 2010) was a Serbian team handball player and coach. Zoran Kurteš died at the age of 44 after a cardiac arrest in Mamaia, Romania. At the time of his death he was the coach of HCM Constanța, a team with excellent results during his stewardship. Mile Isaković (; born 17 January 1958) is a Serbian handball coach and former player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1980 Summer Olympics and in the 1984 Summer Olympics. Club career Born in Šabac, Isaković started out at his hometown club Metaloplastika.
