Jovica Elezović
Jovica Elezović (; born 2 March 1956) is a Serbian former handball coach and player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1980 Summer Olympics and in the 1984 Summer Olympics. Club career Elezović started playing handball for his hometown club Vrbas at the age of 19. He also spent one season with Crvenka, before joining Borac Banja Luka in 1977. Over the years, Elezović established himself as one of the best players in Yugoslavia, helping his team win the championship in the 1980–81 season. He also played with Proleter Zrenjanin for one season, before going abroad. In 1985, Elezović moved to Germany and signed with Reinickendorfer Füchse. He would also play for fellow German teams TuS Hofweier and TUSEM Essen. Before retiring, Elezović spent one season with Spanish club Cajamadrid. Vrbas, Serbia
Vrbas ( sr-Cyrl, Врбас; hu, Verbász) is a town and municipality located in the South Bačka District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. As of 2011, the town had a population of 24,112, while the municipality had 42,092 inhabitants. Name Its name stems from the word "Willow" in the Serbian language. During the SFRY period, the town was renamed ''Titov Vrbas'' (meaning "the Vrbas of Tito"), after Josip Broz Tito. Like all other towns in Socialist Yugoslavia named after Tito, the first part was dropped once the new states were formed during the early 1990s. In Rusyn, the town is known as ''Вербас'', in Hungarian as ''Verbász'', in Croatian as ''Vrbas'', in German as ''Werbass'', and in Turkish as ''Verbas''. The 1984 Summer Olympics (officially the Games of the XXIII Olympiad and also known as Los Angeles 1984) were an international multi-sport event held from July 28 to August 12, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, United States. It marked the second time that Los Angeles had hosted the Games, the first being in 1932. California was the home state of the incumbent U.S. President Ronald Reagan, who officially opened the Games. Uroš Elezović
Uroš Elezović (; born 28 January 1982) is a Serbian former handball player. Club career After starting out at Vrbas, Elezović played for Sintelon, before moving abroad. He would go on to play in Slovenia, France, Switzerland, Qatar, Israel and Hungary. With Vojvodina, Elezović won three consecutive national championships (2012–13, 2013–14 and 2014–15). The Yugoslav Handball Championship was the highest level competition in men's team handball in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, played regularly for almost four decades between 1953 and 1992, before being abandoned due to the breakup of Yugoslavia. History The first five editions from 1953 to 1957 were decided via a finals play-off tournament contested by clubs who had qualified in regional competitions, before a regular round-robin league format was introduced for the 1957–58 season. The Mediterranean Games is a multi-sport event organised by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM). It is held every four years among athletes from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea in Africa, Asia and Europe.
