R511 Road (South Africa)
The R511 is a Regional Route in South Africa that connects Sandton (north of Johannesburg) with Thabazimbi via Hartbeespoort and Brits. It is an alternative route to the R512 for travel between the Johannesburg Metropole and Brits. Route Gauteng It begins as William Nicol Drive at its interchange with the N1 Highway ( Johannesburg Western Bypass) in Fourways, a suburb of Sandton, Johannesburg Metropole, Gauteng. South of the N1, the road is designated the M81. Heading north out of the city, it passes Montecasino, before crossing the R564 (Witkoppen Road). North of Witkoppen Road, it passes through the affluent Lonehill and Dainfern suburbs into the township of Diepsloot. It then meets the western end of the R562 from Midrand and forms an interchange with the N14 Highway. The M81 is a short metropolitan route in Greater Johannesburg, South Africa. It connects Craighall Park with Bryanston. For its entire route, it is named Winnie Mandela Drive (formerly William Nicol Drive; renamed on 26 September 2023). Route The M81 begins as Winnie Mandela Drive (formerly William Nicol Drive) just north of Craighall Park at the intersection with Jan Smuts Avenue ( M27) (by the Hyde Park Corner Shopping Mall). M4 Road (Pretoria)
The M4 road is a metropolitan route in the City of Tshwane in Gauteng, South Africa. It connects Pretoria with Hartbeespoort. The route is a toll road, with two tollgates on the Freeway section between Pretoria West and Hartbeespoort (one at either end). For its entire length, it is parallel to the R104 Road, which also connects Pretoria with Hartbeespoort. Route The M4 begins in Arcadia, Pretoria (just west of the Union Buildings), at a junction with the two one-way-streets that form the M5 route (Hamilton Street; Steve Biko Street). R104 Road (South Africa)
The R104 is a regional route in South Africa that is the designation for some of the old sections of roads that were previously the N4, prior to upgrading. It connects Pretoria with Middelburg in Mpumalanga via Bronkhorstspruit and Witbank. It also connects Pretoria with Rustenburg in the North West province via Hartbeespoort and Mooinooi. The R104 is also made up of a road in Nelspruit (Mbombela) which was previously part of the N4 national route. As the N4 bypasses the central part of the city to the north on a newer highway (opened on 13 June 2010), the old short road through Nelspruit central (Samora Machel Drive) is now designated as the R104. The designation R114 is applied to sections of road that were previously part of the N14 that have been replaced by newly built freeway sections. The N14 is a national route in South Africa which runs from Springbok in the Northern Cape to Pretoria in Gauteng. It passes through Upington, Kuruman, Vryburg, Krugersdorp and Centurion. The section between Pretoria and Krugersdorp is maintained by the Gauteng Provincial government and is also designated the P158, and is also a 4-lane dual carriageway with 2 lanes in each direction. Midrand
Midrand is a former municipality in central Gauteng, South Africa. It is situated in-between Centurion and Sandton and now forms part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. History Midrand was established as a municipality in 1981 (in an area known as ''Halfway House'', after its position between Pretoria and Johannesburg), but ceased to be an independent town in the restructuring of local government that followed the end of apartheid in 1994. It was incorporated in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality in 2000. It was made part of Region 2 and, as of 2006, when the number of regions were reduced to seven, it forms part of Region A of the City of Johannesburg. The R562 is a Regional Route in Gauteng, South Africa that connects Diepsloot with Olifantsfontein ( Clayville) and Thembisa via Midrand. Route Its western terminus is an intersection with the R511 Road (Winnie Mandela Drive) and the N14 Highway at Diepsloot. It heads east as Summit Road, passing by Bridle Park and crossing the R55 (Main Road) to enter Midrand. At the junction with the R55, the R562 changes its street name to Olifantsfontein Road and continues eastwards, separating the Country View and Noordwyk suburbs of Midrand. Just after Noordwyk, the R562 meets the N1 Highway (Ben Schoeman Highway) and enters the suburb of Randjespark. Dainfern is a golfing estate in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is located in Region 1 and Region 5. Dainfern is between Johannesburg and Pretoria. Dainfern's postal code is 2055.
