Régis Huby
Régis Huby (born 22 June 1969 in Rennes, France) is a French jazz violinist, composer, and arranger. Biography Huby studied classical music at the Conservatory in Rennes with Catherine Luquin, at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSM) with François Jeanneau, Hervé Sellin, Patrick Moutal and Alain Savouret. During this time he worked with Dominique Pifarély and Louis Sclavis. He played in a duo with Vincent Courtois, in the ''Living Time Orchestra'' with George Russell, and founded the string ensemble ''Quatuor IXI'' (recordings with Joachim Kühn: ''Phrases'') with Irene Lecoq, Guillaume Roy and Alain Grange, and was the musical director and arranger of the project ''Nuit Américaine'' by Lambert Wilson. His first recordings in the field of jazz were made in 1994 with Maria Laura Baccarini (''All Around''). Noël Akchoté (born 7 December 1968) is a French guitarist in free improvisation, classical, experimental, and free jazz. Le Chant du Monde is a French music publishing house. It was created in 1938 by Léon Moussinac and was supported in the beginning by classical composers Georges Auric, Arthur Honegger, Charles Koechlin, Darius Milhaud, Francis Poulenc, Albert Roussel, and conductors Roger Désormière and Manuel Rosenthal. Gianluigi Trovesi (born 1944) is an Italian jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer. He has won various Italian jazz awards. He also teaches in Italy. Early life Trovesi was born in Nembro near Bergamo in Lombardy in 1944. He studied harmony and counterpoint under Vittorio Fellegara. Later life and career In 1978 Trovesi won the "RAI TV National Competition for Saxophone and Clarinet" in 1978, and the Critics' National Prize for his debut album, ''Baghet''. He won Best Italian Disc for the albums ''Dances'' (1985), ''From G to'' G (1992) and ''Les Hommes Armés'' (1996). Anouar Brahem
Anouar Brahem ( أنور براهم); born on 20 October 1957) is a Tunisian oud player and composer. He is widely acclaimed as an innovator in his field. Performing primarily for a jazz audience, he combines Arabic classical music, folk music and jazz and has been recording since at least 1991, after becoming prominent in his own country in the late 1980s. Biography Brahem was born and raised in the Halfaouine neighbourhood in the Medina of Tunis, Tunisia. He studied oud at Tunisia's National Conservatory of Music and after that with oud master Ali Sriti. In 1981, he left for Paris in search of new vistas. This enabled him to meet musicians from a variety of genres. He remained there for four years, notably composing music for Tunisian cinema and theatre.
