Régions Et Peuples Solidaires
Régions et Peuples Solidaires (English: Regions and Peoples with Solidarity) is a political federation of various regionalist parties (particularly of centre-left affiliation) in France. It was founded in 1995, in order to organise a coordinated fight against "Parisian centrism" and " Jacobin conception of peoples" on the French state level. Its president is Gustave Alirol, the chairman of Partit Occitan. The federation has ties with the European Free Alliance. François Alfonsi of the Partitu di a Nazione Corsa was elected as an MEP in the 2009 European election ( South-East) on the Europe Écologie list, and is a member of The Greens–European Free Alliance Group in the European Parliament. Regionalism (politics)
Regionalism is a political ideology that seeks to increase the political power, influence, and/or self-determination of the people of one or more subnational regions. It focuses on the "development of a political or social system based on one or more" regions and/or the national, normative or economic interests of a specific region, group of regions or another subnational entity, gaining strength from or aiming to strengthen the "consciousness of and loyalty to a distinct region with a homogeneous population", similarly to nationalism. More specifically, "regionalism refers to three distinct elements: movements demanding territorial autonomy within unitary states; the organization of the central state on a regional basis for the delivery of its policies including regional development policies; political decentralization and regional autonomy". Bloc Català
The Bloc Català () is a Catalan nationalist political party in Pyrénées-Orientales (France) (or Northern Catalonia as Bloc Català refers to it). It was established on October 23, 2001. It defines itself as a center-left wing political party. One of its proposals is the establishment of a "northern Catalan region" in France. This party was one of the organizations that promoted a movement against the denomination Septimanie, proposed by Georges Frêche, the president of the region of Languedoc-Roussillon. As a symbol of a so-called Catalan resistance against that move, they will adopt a disguised donkey as mascot. Savoy Region Movement
The Savoy Region Movement (french: Mouvement Région Savoie, frp, Movement Règion Savouè) is a French regionalist political party based in Savoy. The party supports the creation of a Savoyard region composed of the departments of Savoie and Haute-Savoie. Both of these departments are part of the larger Rhône-Alpes region, an 'artificial' region built in 1972. It also supports Arpitan (or Franco-Provençal), the older language of this region. Femu a Corsica (; ) is a Corsican autonomist political party. It was formed for the first time prior to the 2010 French regional elections in the form of a political coalition. The coalition members, Inseme per a Corsica, the Party of the Corsican Nation (PNC) and Chjama Naziunale, merged during the founding congress of the party in Corte on 15 October 2017.
