Ryan Thomas (soccer)
Ryan James Thomas (born 10 June 1984) is a British former actor. He is best known for playing the role of Jason Grimshaw on ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' from 2000 until 2016. In 2018, he played Rafael Humphreys in Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', and won the twenty-second series of '' Celebrity Big Brother''. Thomas announced his retirement from acting in 2021, however has continued his work in television and won the sixteenth series of ''Dancing on Ice'' in 2024. Career Thomas was 16 when he made his on-screen debut as Jason Grimshaw in ''Coronation Street'' on 25 December 2000. In 2012, Thomas took part in a documentary called ''Corrie Goes to Kenya'', along with his co-stars Brooke Vincent ( Sophie Webster), Sue Cleaver (who plays his on-screen mother Eileen Grimshaw) and Ben Price ( Nick Tilsley). The Wyvern Theatre in Swindon, Wiltshire, England, opened in 1971. It is managed on behalf of Swindon Borough Council by Wyvern Theatre Ltd, a subsidiary of HQ Theatres Ltd. The auditorium has 635 seats, all designed to be within 70 feet from the stage. History The theatre was built in 1968–71 by Casson, Conder and Partner as part of Swindon Civic Centre. It is named after the mythical wyvern which was once the emblem of the kings of Wessex. The building was opened on 7 September 1971 by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The first performance was by a Ukrainian dance company. Nick Tilsley (also Platt) is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street''. He was born off screen during an episode broadcast on 31 December 1980, but made his first appearance on 5 January 1981. He was played by Warren Jackson from 1981 until 6 September 1996. Adam Rickitt took over the role on 15 October 1997 until 21 April 1999 but returned for three separate stints between 2002 and 2004 and made his final appearance as Nick on 11 July 2004.
