Ryan Fuller
Ryan J. Fuller (born May 2, 1990) is an American professional baseball coach for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball. Fuller graduated from Lyme-Old Lyme High School in Old Lyme, Connecticut. He enrolled at the University of Connecticut's Avery Point campus, and played for their baseball team in 2009 and 2010. He transferred to the main campus of the university and played his final two college baseball seasons with the Connecticut Huskies. He spent one season with the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, and then was a teacher and coach for Haddam-Killingworth High School from 2013 to 2019. Fuller joined the Baltimore Orioles organization in 2019 as their minor league hitting coordinator. In 2021, he was hitting coach for the Bowie Baysox. Coach (baseball)
In baseball, a number of coaches assist in the smooth functioning of a team. They are assistants to the manager, who determines the starting lineup and batting order, decides how to substitute players during the game, and makes strategy decisions. Beyond the manager, more than a half dozen coaches may assist the manager in running the team. Essentially, baseball coaches are analogous to assistant coaches in other sports, as the baseball manager is to the head coach. Bowie Baysox
The Bowie Baysox are a Minor League Baseball team located in Bowie, Maryland. They are the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and play in the Eastern League. Their home ballpark is Prince George's Stadium. History From 1989 to 1992, the Orioles' Double-A affiliate was located in Hagerstown, Maryland and called the Suns. When Major League Baseball added two teams in 1993, bids were offered for two new Triple-A franchises, and the Maryland Baseball Limited Partnership (which owned the Suns and also the Advanced-A Frederick Keys) got into the running to put one of the new franchises in central Maryland. Although their bid fell short, the idea of having a team in Bowie was so well-received that the MBLP decided to move the Double-A team across the state from Hagerstown. The University of Connecticut (UConn) is a public land-grant research university in Storrs, Connecticut, a village in the town of Mansfield. Matt Borgschulte is an American professional baseball coach for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball. Borgschulte attended Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, Missouri. He attended Western Kentucky University and Drury University, where he played college baseball for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and the Drury Panthers. Borgschulte was the hitting coach for Southeast Missouri State University in 2015 and 2016. He joined the Minnesota Twins organization in 2018 as the hitting coach for the Gulf Coast League Twins. Donald Thomas Long (born March 17, 1962) is an American professional baseball coach. Long has spent 11 seasons as a Major League Baseball (MLB) hitting coach, serving in the role for the Pittsburgh Pirates (2008–2010), Cincinnati Reds (2014–2018), and Baltimore Orioles (2019-2021). Career A former switch-hitting infielder, Long was originally selected by the San Francisco Giants in the third round of the 1983 MLB draft. He played three years in the Giants farm system (1983–85) where he compiled a .251 batting average, 12 home runs and 76 RBI in 198 games. Middlesex County is a county in the south central part of the U.S. state of Connecticut. As of the 2020 census, the population was 164,245. The county was created in May 1785 from portions of Hartford County and New London County. The UConn Huskies baseball team represents the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, Connecticut, in college baseball.
