Ruxandra Dumitrescu
Ruxandra Dumitrescu (born April 20, 1977) is a retired volleyball player born in Galați, Romania. She competed with the Romania women's national volleyball team at the 1994 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Brazil. She is a naturalized Greek citizen, and competed with the Greece women's national volleyball team from Athens 2004 Olympic Games until 2009. She is 186 cm tall. Dumitrescu played on club level with Dacia Pitesti 1994-1997. In her career with Vrilissia Athens Team (1997-2003), she won one championship, three Greek cups, and a bronze medal in European Cup and with Panathinaikos women's volleyball team (2003–10), winning six championships, five cups, and reached the 2009 final of the CEV Women's Challenge Cup. Her shirt number (9) was retired by the club in her honour. CEV Women's Challenge Cup
The CEV Women's Challenge Cup, formerly (from 1980 to 2007) known as CEV Women's Cup is the third official competition for women's volleyball clubs of Europe and takes place every year. It is organized by the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV) and was created as in 1980 to allow more clubs to participate in European competitions. In 2007 it was renamed following a CEV decision to rename its second official competition (known as Top Teams Cup) to CEV Cup. Alexandros Nikolaidis
Alexandros Nikolaidis (17 October 1979 – 14 October 2022) was a Greek taekwondo athlete. He was named the 2008 Greek Male Athlete of the Year. Initially the home favorite, he won the silver medal at the 2004 Olympics held in Athens after losing to Moon Dae-Sung of South Korea in the gold medal match. On 24 March 2008, Alexandros Nikolaidis had the honour to be the first torch-bearer of the 2008 Summer Olympics torch relay. Later in the same year on 11 April, he won the European Championship in Rome. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Nikolaidis won another Olympic silver medal in the +80 kg category, after losing to Cha Dong-Min of South Korea in the final. The Panathinaikos Movement ( el, Παναθηναικό Κίνημα) is a Greek political party, founded in 2012. The Panathinaikos Movement is the first political and social political party in the history of the country, founded by people with an initial common their love for the sports club of Panathinaikos and the wish for a new stadium for the football team, despite the bureaucracy of the Greek state. The party participated in the parliamentary elections of May 6 and received 31 votes, although they did not have ballots.
