Ruti Sela, (Hebrew: רותי סלע; born 1974, in Jerusalem, Israel) is a video artist. Biography She graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, and MFA studieds at the Film Department of the Tel Aviv University. Throughout 2011, she has been a guest resident at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam. Her work has been shown internationally at various exhibitions and venues, including the 2006 Biennale of Sydney, the 2009 Istanbul Biennial, Berlin Biennial 2010, Manifesta 8 (2010), Israel Museum, Centre Pompidou, Kadist Art Foundation, Paris; Art in General, New York; Chelsea Art Museum, New York, Tel Aviv Museum, Tate Modern and Jeu de Paume. She has received a number of prizes and scholarships, among them the Minister of Culture Prize and the Anselm Kiefer prize. Tel Aviv Museum of Art ( he, מוזיאון תל אביב לאמנות ''Muzeon Tel Aviv Leomanut'') is an art museum in Tel Aviv, Israel. The museum is dedicated to the preservation and display of modern and contemporary art from Israel and around the world. History The Tel Aviv Museum of Art was established in 1932 in a building that was the home of Tel Aviv's first mayor, Meir Dizengoff. The Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art opened in 1959. Every Ocean Hughes (born 1977), formerly known as Emily Roysdon, is a New York and Stockholm based artist and writer, currently a Professor of Art at Konstfack in Stockholm, Sweden. Hughes is a multimedia interdisciplinary artist, using performance, photography, print making, text, video, curating and collaboration as media for artistic expression. The Palazzo Riso, or RISO, Museo d’Arte Contemporanea della Sicilia (''RISO, Contemporary Art Museum of Sicily'' also known as Palazzo Belmonte Riso), is a regional contemporary art museum located in the ancient Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Palermo, Italy. History and architecture The Palazzo Riso's architecture clearly shows the final days of Sicilian Baroque as it was transformed into Neoclassicism. Designed by the architect Giuseppe Venanzio Marvuglia, the house was constructed at the end of the 18th century and completed in 1784. Beit Berl ( he, בֵּית בֶּרְל, , Berl House) is an institutional settlement in Israel. Located on the outskirts of Kfar Saba, the village falls under the jurisdiction of Drom HaSharon Regional Council and is the location of Beit Berl College, which has around 7,000 students. Anselm Kiefer (born 8 March 1945) is a German painter and sculptor. He studied with Peter Dreher and Horst Antes at the end of the 1960s. His works incorporate materials such as straw, ash, clay, lead, and shellac. The poems of Paul Celan have played a role in developing Kiefer's themes of German history and the horrors of the Holocaust, as have the spiritual concepts of Kabbalah.
