Ruth Lupton is an English cricketer and former member of the England women's cricket team. Claro Wapentake
Claro was a wapentake of the West Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was split into two divisions. The Upper Division included the parishes of Farnham, Fewston, Hampsthwaite, Kirkby Malzeard and Pannal and parts of Aldborough, Knaresborough, Otley, Little Ouseburn, Ripley, Ripon, Wetherby and Whixley, many of which formed exclaves. The Lower Division included the parishes of Allerton Mauleverer, Goldsborough, Hunsingore, Kirk Deighton, Kirkby Overblow, Leathley, Spofforth with Stockeld, Weston and parts of Addingham, Aldborough, Harewood, Ilkley, Kirk Hammerton, Otley, Ripley and Whixley. At the time of the Domesday Book the wapentake was known as Burghshire, named from its meeting place at Aldborough. In the 12th century the name was changed to Claro, from Claro Hill near Coneythorpe, presumably its meeting place. New Zealand Women's National Cricket Team
The New Zealand women's national cricket team, nicknamed the White Ferns, represents New Zealand in international women's cricket. One of eight teams competing in the ICC Women's Championship (the highest level of international women's cricket), the team is organised by New Zealand Cricket, a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC). 1995 Women's European Cricket Cup
The 1995 Women's European Cricket Cup was an international cricket tournament held in Ireland from 18 to 22 July 1995. It was the fourth edition of the Women's European Championship, and all matches at the tournament held One Day International (ODI) status. Four teams participated, with the hosts, Ireland, joined by the three other European members of the International Women's Cricket Council (IWCC) β Denmark, England, and the Netherlands. A round-robin format was used, with the top two teams proceeding to the final. England was undefeated in the round-robin stage and beat Ireland by seven wickets in the final, winning the championship for the fourth time in a row. Ireland's Mary-Pat Moore led the tournament in runs (and scored the only century, against Denmark), and England's Kathryn Leng was the leading wicket-taker. Women's One Day Internationals
Women's One Day International (WODI) is the limited overs form of women's cricket. Matches are scheduled for 50 overs, equivalent to the men's game. The first women's ODIs were played in 1973, as part of the first Women's World Cup which was held in England. The first ODI saw the hosts beat an International XI. The 1,000th women's ODI took place between South Africa and New Zealand on 13 October 2016. WODI status is determined by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and was restricted to full members of the ICC. In May 2022, the ICC awarded WODI status to five more teams. North Marine Road Ground, formerly known as Queen's, is a cricket ground in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. It is the home of Scarborough Cricket Club which hosts the Scarborough Festival and the Yorkshire County Cricket Club plays a series of fixtures in the second half of the season each year. The current capacity is 11,500, while its record attendance is the 22,946 who watched Yorkshire play Derbyshire in 1947. The England women's cricket team represents England and Wales in international women's cricket. Since 1998, they have been governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), having been previously governed by the Women's Cricket Association.
