Russian Mixed Curling Cup
The Russian Mixed Curling Cup (russian: Кубок России по кёрлингу среди смешанных команд) are the annual national curling tournament for mixed curling in Russia. It has been held annually since 2008 (usually in August and/or September, it's an opening event in Russian mixed season), organized by Russian Curling Federation. As of 2023, the event consisted of sixteen teams participating in a preliminary round robin and a single-knockout playoff. Alina Romanovna Kovaleva (russian: Алина Романовна Ковалёва; born 18 February 1993) is a Russian curler from Saint Petersburg. Her major achievement to date was winning the 2015 European Curling Championships as alternate. Kovaleva is Merited Master of Sports of Russia (2016). Career Kovaleva practiced curling in her school years in her hometown Slantsy. She then moved to St. Petersburg to the Sports School of Olympic Reserve, No. 2. After three years of curling, she and her coach Alexey Tselousov became national champions and silver medalists at the 2011 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. Evgeny Valeryevich Arkhipov (russian: Евгений Валерьевич Архипов; born January 4, 1992) is a Russian curler from Moscow. He currently skips the Russian national curling team and skips a different rink on the World Curling Tour. Arkhipov played on the Russian national junior team from 2011 to 2013, skipping the team from 2012 to 2013. The team, which also consisted of Sergey Glukhov, Dmitry Mironov and Artur Ali qualified for the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships where they won a silver medal. Andrey Drozdov
Andrey Anatolyevich Drozdov (russian: Андрей Анатольевич Дроздов; born 23 February 1988) is a Russian curler from Zelenograd. He skips one of the Russian national teams, and is the first Russian men's skip to ever play in the World Championships and first man to skip Russia at the Olympics. He is currently the coach of the Russian women's junior team. Career In his youth, Drozdov was a swimmer, but was unsuccessful, so he took up curling at age 15. Liudmila Andreyevna Privivkova (russian: Людмила Андреевна Прививкова) (born 13 September 1986 in Moscow; also spelled Ludmila or Liudmilla, but she spells it Liudmila) is a curler (Skip) from Russia. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, in Turin, Italy, she was the skip for the Russian team. Apart from the national team, she plays for the Moskvitch Curling Club, from Moscow.
