Russia In The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017
Russia won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 which took take place on 26 November 2017, in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Russian broadcaster Russia-1, owned by the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Polina Bogusevich won the contest with the song "Wings". Background Prior to the 2017 Contest, Russia had participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest twelve times since its debut in . Russia have participated at every contest since its debut, and have won the contest once in with the song " Vesenniy Jazz", performed by Tolmachevy Twins. Polina Sergeyevna Bogusevich (russian: Полина Сергеевна Богусевич; born 4 July 2003) is a Russian singer. She represented Russia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Wings", and went on to win the competition. She is the second Russian entrant to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She previously competed in season onе of '' The Voice Kids Russia'', where she progressed to the battle rounds. Artek (camp)
Artek (russian: Арте́к) is an international children's center (a former Young Pioneer camp) on the Black Sea in the town of Gurzuf located on the Crimean Peninsula, near Ayu-Dag. It was established on 16 June 1925. The camp first hosted only 80 children but then grew rapidly. In 1969 it had an area of 3.2 km2 (790 acres). The camp consisted of 150 buildings, including three medical facilities, a school, the film studio Artekfilm, three swimming pools, a stadium with a seating capacity of 7,000 and playgrounds for various other activities. Unlike most of the young pioneer camps, Artek was an all-year camp, due to the warm climate. New Wave (russian: Новая волна, ''Novaya volna'', lv, Jaunais Vilnis) is an international contest for young performers of popular music founded in 2002 by the Russian composer Igor Krutoy and Latvian pianist and composer Raimonds Pauls and later enhanced by the Russian superstar Alla Pugacheva. The contest usually lasts for six days: 3 contest days, 2 special event days and, at the end, the day where the contest's results are announced followed by an ending concert. Yevgeny Pavlovich Krylatov (russian: Евге́ний Па́влович Крыла́тов; 23 February 1934 – 8 May 2019) was a Soviet and Russian composer who wrote songs for over 120 Soviet and Russian movies and animated films. Biography Krylatov was born on 23 February 1934 in Lysva in the working class family of Pavel Krylatov and his wife Zoya. Krylatov graduated from Perm Music School in the Moscow Conservatory (1953–1959); having studied at once in two faculties: in the class of the composition with Professor Mikhail Chulaki and in the class of piano with Professor Vladimir Nathanson.
