Rusko (musician)
Christopher William Mercer (born 26 January 1985), known by stage name Rusko, is a British electronic music producer and DJ from York, England. History Rusko was born in Leeds and brought up in nearby York. He grew up in Wheldrake just outside of the city and attended Fulford School. He later graduated from Leeds College of Music with a degree in Music Performance. Immersed in the world of dubstep through Leeds based event "Sub Dub" which was held at the West Indian Centre, Rusko moved to London to work with the record label Sub Soldiers with now no longer associated act Caspa. During this period he introduced producer Reso to dubstep and the two lived for a time together, driving his flatmate "a bit mental" with hearing the track "Cockney Thug" through the wall for a week. On 26 October 2012, ''Fact Magazine'' posted an interview with Rusko where he stated he planned to release his music for free instead of signing with Mad Decent again, following his dispute with the record ... Leeds () is a city and the administrative centre of the City of Leeds district in West Yorkshire, England. It is built around the River Aire and is in the eastern foothills of the Pennines. Melissa Young (born July 3, 1980), known professionally as Kid Sister, is an American rapper based in Chicago, Illinois. She is known for her single " Pro Nails", which features Kanye West, and for her work as a member of the British music collective Sault. Biography Kid Sister was born Melisa Young on July 3, 1980 in Markham, Illinois. She started to rap in October 2006, becoming an MC at monthly dance parties hosted by DJ duo Flosstradamus (Josh Young, of Flosstradamus, is Melisa's brother), who were featured in MTV's ''My Block'' that same year. Cypress x Rusko is a collaborative extended play by American Hip hop music, hip hop group Cypress Hill and British dubstep producer Rusko (musician), Rusko. The five track album was released on June 5, 2012 Music download, digitally and on August 14, 2012 on Gramophone record, vinyl. It debuted at number 50 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The EP produced two singles, "Roll It, Light It" and "Can't Keep Me Down" which features Damian Marley. On the amalgamation of the two styles of music, Sen Dog of Cypress Hill explains "I think dubstep is a natural progression of hip-hop... Especially the way that we formulated it with Rusko. From November 2001 to November 2018, the London nightclub fabric ran a monthly mix compilation series. Mixed by a variety of emerging and established DJs, the two series were entitled ''fabric'' and ''FABRICLIVE'' respectively. The compilation mixes were released independently by fabric on an alternating monthly basis. In May 2018, fabric announced that the ''fabric'' series would end "in its current form" with its 100th instalment; in October 2018, fabric revealed the final ''fabric'' compilation would be a triple-disc set, mixed by two of the club's residents— Craig Richards and Terry Francis—as well as its founder, Keith Reilly. Fulford School
Fulford School is a coeducational comprehensive school on Fulfordgate near Heslington Lane in Fulford, York, England. History Fulford School was founded in 1963 and has been a comprehensive school since 1970. The site is close to the former Fulfordgate football ground, demolished in 1932. It is also adjacent to the Germany Beck site, where The Battle of Fulford happened. Its original motto was 'A posse ad esse' which translates to "from possibility to realisation".
