Rational Unified Process
The Rational Unified Process (RUP) is an iterative software development process framework created by the Rational Software Corporation, a division of IBM since 2003. RUP is not a single concrete prescriptive process, but rather an adaptable process framework, intended to be tailored by the development organizations and software project teams that will select the elements of the process that are appropriate for their needs. RUP is a specific implementation of the Unified Process. History Rational Software originally developed the rational unified process as a software process product. Heinrich Bernhard Rupp
Heinrich Bernhard Rupp (or Ruppius) (born 22 August 1688 in Giessen, died 7 March 1719 in Jena) was a German botanist. He first studied Medicine in 1704 and met then Johann Jacob Dillenius (1684-1747). He first studied in Iena in 1711, then in Leiden in 1712 then back in Jena in 1713. Rupp wrote a flora about plants around Jena and part of Thuringia. He published the two first parts but his work is finished after his death by Albrecht von Haller (1708-1777). Carl von Linné (1707-1778) gave tribute to him with the creation of the genus ''Ruppia'' of the family Ruppiaceae. Rainer Rupp (born September 21, 1945 in Saarlouis, Germany) is a former top spy who worked under the codenames Mosel and later Topaz for the East German intelligence service HVA (General Reconnaissance Administration) in the NATO headquarters in Brussels from 1977 until 1989, releasing documents of the highest importance (''Cosmic Top Secret'') to the Eastern Bloc. Philip Ruppe
Philip Edward Ruppe (born September 29, 1926) is an American former politician from the U.S. state of Michigan and a member of the Republican Party. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1967 to 1979 before running, unsuccessfully for the United States Senate in 1982. He is a Korean War veteran, having served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. After leaving the U.S. House, Ruppe became active in business before running for election, without success, to the 103rd Congress. Pat Rupp
Patrick Lloyd Rupp (August 12, 1942 – February 2, 2006) was an American ice hockey goaltender. He played one game in the National Hockey League with the Detroit Red Wings during the 1963–64 season, on March 22, 1964 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1963 to 1980, was mainly spent in the International Hockey League. Internationally Rupp played for the American national team at the 1964 and 1968 Winter Olympics. Playing career Rupp joined the Eastern Hockey League's Philadelphia Ramblers in 1963–64.
