Rugby union in Turkey is a minor but growing sport. Governing body The governing body is the Turkish Rugby Federation. Federation became unique body for rugby in 2011 and has been accepted to FIRA-AER in July, 2012. It is a growing and respected sport. The Turkish Rugby Federation () is the governing body for rugby union in Turkey. It was founded in 2011, and became affiliated to Rugby Europe in 2012. The Turkey women's national rugby sevens team represents Turkey at rugby sevens – however it has yet to play any recognised international matches.
