Ruben Jaghinyan
Ruben Jaghinyan ( hy, Ռուբեն Ջաղինյան (born 28 April 1969, Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR) is a Soviet and Armenian actor of KVN (Club of the Funny and Inventive), producer, and TV presenter. From 2013 to 2019 Jaghinyan has been the Chairman of the Council of Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia. In 2019 he was appointed as the President of the National Film Academy of Armenia. Education In 1994 Ruben Jaghinyan graduated from the National Polytechnic University of Armenia with a specialty in Electrotechnical Engineering. Early years From 1991 to 1994 Ruben Jaghinyan participated in the Major League of KVN within the Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU). He became a champion of the Major League once in 1992, and a second time in 1994. The National Polytechnic University of Armenia () is a technical university located in Yerevan, Armenia. Established as the Karl Marx Institute of Polytechnic in 1933, it provides educational and research programs in various fields of technology and science related to engineering. The Mkhitar Heratsi Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU, hy, Երեվանի Մխիթար Հերացու անվան Պետական Բժշկական Համալսարան), is an Armenian medical university located in Yerevan, Armenia. History On 31 January 1920, during the First Republic of Armenia, the People's University of Armenia opened in Alexandropol, with the presence of prime minister Alexander Khatisian and minister of culture and public education Nikol Aghbalian. In October of the same year, a decision was passed by then-minister of education Gevorg Ghazarian to establish the faculty of medicine in the university.
