Rozendaal
Rozendaal () is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. The town, next to Arnhem and Velp, is known for the Rozendaal Castle (''Kasteel Rosendael'') and its water fountain follies (''bedriegertjes''). The municipality is the least densely populated on the mainland of the Netherlands, i.e., in effect, not on one of the West Frisian Islands. Rozendaal is one of the richest municipalities in the Netherlands. Petrus Augustus De Génestet
Petrus Augustus de Génestet (commonly referred to as "P.A. de Génestet") (Amsterdam, 21 November 1829Rozendaal, 2 July 1861) was a Dutch poet and theologian. De Génestet lost both of his parents at a very young age; after that he lived with his uncle, the Dutch painter Jan Adam Kruseman. He studied at the Amsterdamse Atheneum and the Seminarium der Remonstrantse Broederschap to become a preacher. He became a preacher in March 1852 and worked in Moordrecht. In December of the same year he started working in Delft, the same city that still has the Genestetkerk, a Remonstrant church that was named after him. Shortly after moving to Delft he married Henriette Bienfait in Bloemendaal. They had four children. In 1859, both his wife and oldest child died of tuberculosis, and because of his poor health he had to quit working as a preacher. He moved to Amsterdam, but spent most of his summers in Bloemendaal. Arnhem
Arnhem ( or ; german: Arnheim; South Guelderish: ''Èrnem'') is a city and municipality situated in the eastern part of the Netherlands about 55 km south east of Utrecht. It is the capital of the province of Gelderland, located on both banks of the rivers Nederrijn and Sint-Jansbeek, which was the source of the city's development. Velp, Gelderland
Velp is a Dutch village located east of Arnhem within the municipality of Rheden, between Arnhem, Rozendaal, and the town of Rheden. Velp was a separate municipality from 1812 to 1818, when it was merged with Rheden. The municipality also included the village of Rozendaal. Gelderland (), also known as Guelders () in English, is a province of the Netherlands, occupying the centre-east of the country. Brummen
Brummen () is a municipality and a village in the eastern Netherlands. Brummen has a small railway station - Brummen railway station on the line between Zutphen and Arnhem. The village is situated about southwest of Zutphen, no farther than 1.5 km from the IJssel river. About two kilometers west of the village, on the edge of the Veluwe forest area, lies the Engelenburg resort, a castle-like house. It is in use as a hotel for golf players and has a 9-hole golf-link. The West Frisian Islands (; fry, Waadeilannen) are a chain of islands in the North Sea off the Dutch coast, along the edge of the Wadden Sea. They continue further east as the German East Frisian Islands and are part of the Frisian Islands. From west to east the islands are: Noorderhaaks, Texel, Vlieland, Richel, Griend, Terschelling, Ameland, Rif, Engelsmanplaat, Schiermonnikoog, Simonszand, Rottumerplaat, Rottumeroog, and Zuiderduintjes.
