Royd Anderson
Royd Anderson (born July 22, 1972, New Orleans, Louisiana) is a Cuban-American filmmaker and historian based in New Orleans, Louisiana. He specializes in documentary films pertaining to tragic Louisiana events often overlooked by historians. Career In 2006, Anderson wrote and directed the documentary ''The Luling Ferry Disaster'' for his Master's thesis project in Communication at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The film recounts the story of the MV George Prince ferry disaster, the worst ferryboat accident in U.S. history with 77 fatalities. The documentary was released on the 30th anniversary of the disaster on October 20, 2006. The success of the film generated a movement, initiated by Anderson, to build a monument in St. Charles Parish for the victims and survivors. Royd Chambers
Royd E. Chambers (born June 28, 1961, in Adair County, Iowa) was the Iowa State Representative from the 5th District. He served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2003 through 2013. Chambers served on several committees in the Iowa House – the Appropriations committee; the Education committee; the Labor committee; and the Veterans Affairs committee. He also served as ranking member of the Education Appropriations Subcommittee. Chambers was re-elected in 2006 with 7,736 votes, running unopposed. Education Chambers graduated from Bridgewater-Fontanelle High School. He obtained his B.A. from Buena Vista University. Fox Royd
Foxes are small to medium-sized, omnivorous mammals belonging to several genera of the family Canidae. They have a flattened skull, upright, triangular ears, a pointed, slightly upturned snout, and a long bushy tail (or ''brush''). Twelve species belong to the monophyletic "true foxes" group of genus ''Vulpes''. Approximately another 25 current or extinct species are always or sometimes called foxes; these foxes are either part of the paraphyletic group of the South American foxes, or of the outlying group, which consists of the bat-eared fox, gray fox, and island fox. Hebden Royd
Hebden Royd is a civil parish with a town council in the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale in West Yorkshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 9,092, rising to 9,558 at the 2011 census. It includes Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd and Cragg Vale. The parish was an urban district before 1974, created in 1937 by the merger of Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd urban districts. The area now shares the HX7 postcode area. History The Town Council has 18 seats over 6 wards - Birchcliffe, Cragg Vale, Caldene, Fairfield, West End and White Lee. As of May 2019 - 15 are Labour held and 3 are Lib Dem. Royd House
Royd House is a Grade I listed building in Hale, Greater Manchester, Hale, Greater Manchester. It was designed by architect Edgar Wood as his own home and was built between 1914 and 1916. The building is regarded as one of the most advanced examples of early twentieth century domestic architecture. It is one of six Grade I listed buildings in Trafford. Royd House is a 2-storey, y-shaped building with a concrete roof. It has a concave façade and is faced in Portland red stone and Lancashire brick. Royd Mill, Oldham
Royd Mill, Oldham was a cotton spinning mill in Hollinwood, Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. It was built in 1907, and extended in 1912 and 1924. It was taken over by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation in the 1930s and passed to Courtaulds in 1964. Production finished in 1981. The mill was demolished in 2015 to make way for a "DifRent" housing scheme. Location Oldham is a large town in Greater Manchester, England.
