Royal Jubilee Medal 2022
The Royal Jubilee Medal is an official medal of the sub-national Kingdom of Gbi Traditional Area Hohoe, the largest in the Volta Region of Ghana. The Grand Master of the Order is the traditional Ruler Togbe Ngoryfia Céphas Kosi Bansah Traditional, Spiritual and Honorable King of the Ewe, Head of the Royal House of Bansah, President of the Crown Council of the Kingdom, called "The Eagle of Hohoe" (since 1992). The Royal Jubilee Medal was established on the Occasion of the 30th Jubilee of Togbe Ngoryfia Céphas Kosi Bansh's accession on the Throne in the sub-national Kingdom of Gbi Traditional Area Hohoe. It has only one Class and is restricted to 150 awardings worldwide in 2022. Volta Region
Volta Region (or Volta) is one of Ghana's sixteen administrative regions, with Ho designated as its capital. It is located west of Republic of Togo and to the east of Lake Volta. Divided into 25 administrative districts, the region is multi-ethnic and multilingual, including groups such as the Ewe, the Guan, and the Akan peoples. The Guan peoples include the Lolobi, Likpe, Akpafu, Buem, and Nkonya (now part of Oti region) people. This region was carved out of the Volta Region in December 2018 by the New Patriotic Party. Céphas Bansah
Togbe Ngoryifia Céphas Kosi Bansah (born April 22, 1948), also known as Céphas Bansah, is the Ngoryifia ("developmental chief") of the Gbi Traditional area of Hohoe, Ghana. He resides in Ludwigshafen, Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. Biography Early life Céphas Bansah grew up in the Volta Region of what is now Ghana (then the Gold Coast), and first visited Germany in 1970 during a student exchange program. He took an apprenticeship at the firm ''Paul Schweitzer'' in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, and went on to earn two German Master Craftsman certificates: the first was a Master Craftsman as mechanic for agricultural machinery and the second as mechanic for vehicles. He also took up boxing in his spare time, and in 1975 became the district flyweight champion. Bad Dürkheim () is a spa town in the Rhine-Neckar urban agglomeration, and is the seat of the Bad Dürkheim district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
