Royal Gardens is a residential neighbourhood in south west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The neighbourhood is bounded on the north by Whitemud Drive, on the east by 111 Street, on the south by 40 Avenue, and on the west by 119 Street/121 Street. The residents of the community have public transportation access to the LRT system at Southgate Station. The community is represented by the Royal Gardens Community League, established in 1968, which maintains a community hall, outdoor rink and tennis courts located at 117 Street and 40 Avenue. Empire Park is a residential neighbourhood in southwest Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. A major shopping centre, Southgate Centre, is located at the west end of the Neighbourhood. Malmo Plains is a residential neighbourhood in south west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The University of Alberta family residences, called Michener Park, comprise the west end of the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is named for a type of soil, malmo silty clay loam, common in the area. Lansdowne is a neighbourhood in south west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada overlooking the Whitemud Creek Ravine. The Snow Valley Ski Hill is located near the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is situated directly across from Michener Park, a residential complex for students staying at the University of Alberta. Houses on the north side of Lansdowne back onto the University of Alberta farm along a straight line boundary located just north of 52 Avenue. While the official name of the neighbourhood is Greenfield, some residents will refer to the area as Petrolia. Whitemud Drive is a major east–west freeway in southern Edmonton, Alberta, that stretches from 231 Street at the western city limit to Anthony Henday Drive just east of Edmonton in Strathcona County. Southgate Centre is a shopping centre located in south Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, covering just under 90,000 square metres. It contains 165 retailers including The Bay, Aritzia, Zara, Michael Kors, Browns Shoes and Edmonton's only Restoration Hardware and Crate & Barrel.
