Royal Coda
Royal Coda is an American rock band based in Sacramento, California, founded by lead guitarist Sergio Medina. They are known for their amalgamation of progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and post-hardcore. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Kurt Travis, guitarists Sergio Medina and Will Swan, and bass guitarist Steffen Gotsch. After the dissolution of the post-hardcore band Stolas, Medina formed Royal Coda as a project to experiment with new writing styles outside of his typical routine. After former A Lot Like Birds members Travis and Arrington joined the group, they recorded their self-titled debut album, '' Royal Coda'', which was released in April 2018 on Blue Swan Records. In 2019, the band recruited Dance Gavin Dance guitarist Will Swan and touring bass guitarist Steffen Gotsch, releasing their sophomore studio album, ''Compassion'', in November to critical acclaim. Stolas (Sail the ocean, live at sea) was an American post-hardcore band from Las Vegas, Nevada formed in 2011. The band consisted of Carlo Marquez (lead vocals, drums, bass), and Sergio Medina (guitar, backing vocals). The band was signed as the first band on Blue Swan Records in 2013, a record label launched by Will Swan of Dance Gavin Dance. Veil of Maya is an American metalcore band, formed in Chicago, Illinois, by members Marc Okubo and Sam Applebaum in 2004. They are currently signed to Sumerian Records and have released six studio albums. Their first four albums are considered to be deathcore, but their fifth album, ''Matriarch'', is considered to be metalcore. They have also been associated with djent. Since 2012 he has been the third clean vocalist for the post-hardcore band Dance Gavin Dance.
