Tilian
Tilian Pearson (born July 12, 1987), also known mononymously as Tilian, is an American singer-songwriter, musician and record producer born in Clearwater, Florida. Since 2012 he has been the third clean vocalist for the post-hardcore band Dance Gavin Dance. Pearson began his music career as the lead vocalist and guitarist in the progressive rock band Tides of Man, releasing an extended play and two studio albums before leaving in 2010. After parting ways with Tides of Man, Pearson briefly joined the American rock bands Saosin and Emarosa following the departure of their respective vocalists, however never released any material with the groups. In August 2012, he joined Dance Gavin Dance, replacing Jonny Craig, and released the album '' Acceptance Speech'' (2013). Two years later, the band released '' Instant Gratification'', to critical acclaim and became their first top-forty US ''Billboard'' 200 album. ''Factory Reset'' is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter and musician Tilian Pearson, released on April 23, 2021, through Future Friends and Rise Records. The album serves as a follow-up to his third studio album, '' The Skeptic'' (2018). Similar to ''The Skeptic'', the album was produced by Kris Crummett, who also performed drums, while Tilian performed guitar, bass, keyboards, synthesizers, and handled additional production. It was written and recorded at the musician's home recording studio in Los Angeles during the COVID-19 pandemic, while engineering was handled at Crummett's Interlace Audio Studio in Portland, Oregon. The album shares the same pop rock and electro-pop musical styles from its predecessor while including elements of progressive rock, electronic rock, trap, and dancehall. ''The Skeptic'' is the third solo studio album by American singer-songwriter and Dance Gavin Dance vocalist Tilian Pearson, released on September 28, 2018, through Future Friends and Rise Records. The album is a follow-up to his second studio album, '' Perfect Enemy'' (2015), and is his first solo release on Rise since departing with Vital Records. The album was produced by Kris Crummett, who performed drums and percussion on the record, while Pearson performed guitar, keyboards, and bass guitar. The lead single, "Cocky", was released on August 17, 2018. Another single, "Hold On", was released on August 24. Dance Gavin Dance is an American rock band from Sacramento, California, formed in 2005. The band currently consists of vocalists Jon Mess and Tilian Pearson, lead guitarist Will Swan, rhythm guitarist Andrew Wells, and drummer Matthew Mingus. The band formerly included lead vocalists Jonny Craig and Kurt Travis, bassists Eric Lodge, Jason Ellis, and Tim Feerick, and guitarists Alvaro Alcala, Sean O'Sullivan, Zachary Garren, and Josh Benton. ''Perfect Enemy'' is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Tilian Pearson, released on November 27, 2015, on Vital Records. The album was produced by Kris Crummett and Matt Malpass. It is Pearson's final studio album to be released on Vital before signing to Rise Records three years later. Background ''Perfect Enemy'' was written over the last three years and recorded throughout September 2015. In an interview with magazine ''Teal Cheese'', Pearson revealed that he recorded six songs with producer Kris Crummett in Portland, Oregon, tracked one song in Malibu, California, and worked with producer Matt Malpass in Atlanta, Georgia. Emarosa
Emarosa ( ) is an American rock band formed in Lexington, Kentucky, in 2006. The band currently consists of lead guitarist and founding member ER White and lead vocalist Bradley Walden, who joined the band in 2013. The group has undergone several line-up changes throughout its career, with lead guitarist ER White being the sole remaining founding member. Originally oriented towards post-hardcore and alternative rock, Emarosa has gravitated towards a more pop rock sound in recent years. Upon the band's formation, they released one extended play (EP) in 2007, titled ''This Is Your Way Out'', and shortly after, the group underwent significant line-up and sound changes, dropping their metalcore influence and leaning towards a more rock sound. Tides of Man is an American progressive rock band formed in Tampa, Florida in 2008. The now-instrumental band currently consists of members Spencer Gill (lead guitar), Josh Gould (drums), Alan Jaye (bass guitar), and Daniel Miller (guitar). Saosin is an American rock band formed in Orange County, California in 2003 by Beau Burchell, Justin Shekoski, Zach Kennedy, and Anthony Green. The band released their first EP, ''Translating the Name'', in 2003. That year, vocalist Anthony Green left Saosin due to personal reasons, and was replaced by Cove Reber in 2004. With Reber, the group recorded their self titled debut album, released on Capitol Records in 2006. Their second studio album, ''In Search of Solid Ground'', was released in 2009 on Virgin Records and contains three re-recorded tracks from ''The Grey EP''. Jonathan Monroe Craig (born March 26, 1986) is a Canadian-American singer and songwriter, best known as the former lead vocalist of bands Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa, and Rain City Drive, as well as the co-lead vocalist of the short-lived supergroup Isles & Glaciers. As a solo artist, he has released two studio albums, two EPs and a live album to date, and his distinct type of soul-based singing has earned him considerable acclaim.
