Roy Zu-Arets
} Roy Zu-Arets ( Hebrew: רועי זו-ארץ, born January 22, 1969) is an American- Israeli composer, pianist, music producer, and arranger. Biography Roy Zu-Arets grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel. He was classically trained from the age of 3, and between the ages 5 and 18 he studied at the Israeli Music Conservatory in Tel Aviv. Zu-Arets developed an interest in contemporary classical music, pop, and rock in his teens and released his first album at 12 years old. During the early 1990s, Zu-Arets scored music for various Israeli TV series, theater productions, and movies. He also played with and produced music for many Israeli musicians including Rita, Danny Sanderson, Uzi Hitman, Meir Banai, and HaYehudim. In the late 1990s Zu-Arets moved to New York and studied music composition and theory at Juilliard School and later at Mannes College. Danny Sanderson
Danny Sanderson ( he, דני סנדרסון; born November 30, 1950) is an Israeli musician, singer-songwriter and guitarist. In 2005, Sanderson received a lifetime achievement award for his contribution to Israeli music. Biography Sanderson was born in Kibbutz Kfar Blum, Israel to Jewish American parents. During his childhood, the family eventually moved to Haifa. His father worked as the director of El Al's North America department located in New York City, where the family relocated to in 1960. While in New York, Sanderson attended the well-known High School of Music and Art, in New York City. In 1965, at the age of 15, he started his first band. During that time, he wrote his first song. In April 1978, Sanderson married Naomi, who died in 2005. His children are director Adam and actress Dina, and he is the grandfather of three grandchildren. Nicolas Altstaedt (born 1982) is a German classical cellist. Biography and career Altstaedt was born in Heidelberg, Germany. As a soloist, conductor, and artistic director, he performs repertoire spanning from early music to the contemporary. Marimba
The marimba () is a musical instrument in the percussion family that consists of wooden bars that are struck by mallets. Omar Hakim (born February 12, 1959) is an American jazz, jazz fusion and pop music drummer, producer, arranger and composer. Taking Back Sunday is an American rock band from Long Island, New York. The band was formed by guitarist Eddie Reyes and bassist Jesse Lacey in 1999. The band's members currently are Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), John Nolan (lead guitar, keyboards, vocals), Shaun Cooper (bass guitar) and Mark O'Connell (drums), accompanied by Nathan Cogan (guitar) for their live performances. Mannes School of Music is a music conservatory in The New School, a private research university in New York City. In the fall of 2015, Mannes moved from its previous location on Manhattan's Upper West Side to join the rest of the New School campus in Arnhold Hall at 55 W. 13th Street.
