Rowthiram
''Rowthiram'' () is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language martial arts film written and directed by newcomer Gokul. Produced by R. B. Choudary, the film stars his son Jiiva and Shriya Saran, with Sentrayan, Jayaprakash and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan appearing in supporting roles. The story line of ''Rowthiram'' is nearly equal to ''Udhayam'' the Tamil dubbed version of Telugu film '' Siva'' starring Nagarjuna Akkineni. It released on 12 August 2011. Upon release, it opened to mixed reviews due to the weak storyline. However, the performances of Jiiva and Shriya received high praise from the critics and audience, alike. Gokul is an Indian film director who works in Tamil cinema. Shriya Saran

Amar Choudary (born 4 January 1984), known professionally as Jiiva, is an Indian actor and film producer who works mainly in Tamil cinema and a few Hindi films.
