Rovaniemen Santasport
Team Lakkapää (formerly Perungan Pojat and Rovaniemen Santasport) is a professional volleyball team from Rovaniemi, Finland. The team played three seasons in Finland volleyball league, the country's highest level. They won two league championships in 2007 and 2008. Achievements * Finland Champion 2007, 2008, 2011 * Finland Cup Champion 2010 * Top-teams cup quarter finals * Challenge Cup quarter finals History Rovaniemen Santasport was founded in 2006 when volleyball teams Perungan Pojat and Napapiirin Palloketut combined. In its first season the team became Finland league Champion. After that the teams split up. Perungan Pojat became Santasport. In 2008 Santasport won again Championship. Santasport won silver in the last season they played in Finnish volleyball league. After volleyball season 2008/2009 the club's name changed to Perungan Pojat once again. Mikko Oivanen
Mikko Oivanen (born 26 May 1986) is a Finnish volleyball player, a member of Finland men's national volleyball team. Personal life Mikko has a twin brother – Matti Oivanen, who is also a volleyball player. Career Clubs Oivanen started his career with his brother Matti in Kiikoisten Kirma. Soon Finnish youth national team's coach picks him to youth national team. Mikko moved with his brother to Kuortane and started studying in local high school. Same time he trained with youth national team. On his last high school year Mikko played few games with his brother Matti in Vammalan Lentopallo that is competing in Finnish champion league. In 2004 he graduated from Kuortane. After Kuortane Oivanen made a contract with Raision Loimu which plays in Finland Championleague. He started playing there with his brother Matti. Volleyball Clubs In Finland
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball.
