Guy Roux
Guy Marcel Roux (; born 18 October 1938) is a French former football player and manager known for being in charge of AJ Auxerre for more than 40 years and for leading the team to national and worldwide prominence. Managerial career A native of Colmar, Roux played for AJ Auxerre between 1954 and 1957 and became player-manager of the then Division d'Honneur (fourth level) club in 1961 to become its living legend and symbol. In 1970 Auxerre got promoted to the Division 3 League, and Roux retired as a player. In 1974 Auxerre got promoted again, this time to Division 2. With Roux in charge the team made it to a Coupe de France final in 1979 and progressed to Division 1 in 1980. The team then went further to clinch the Division 1 title in 1995–96 and win the Coupe de France four times (1993–94, 1995–96, 2002–03, 2004–05). Michel Roux (22 July 1929 in Colombes, Hauts-de-Seine - 2 February 2007 in Paris) was a French actor. He was also the French voice for many American and Italian actors, such as Jack Lemmon, Peter Sellers, Alec Guinness and Tony Curtis. The main part of this actor's work was in theatre. Roux died of cardiac arrest at the age of 77 on February 2, 2007, in Paris. Michel Albert Roux (born 23 May 1960) previously known as Michel Roux Jr., is an English-French two Michelin starred chef. He owns the London restaurant ''Le Gavroche.'' Early life Roux was born at Pembury maternity hospital in Kent, whilst his father Albert Roux was working for the horse race trainer Major Peter Cazalet. Michel Roux
Michel Roux, OBE (; 19 April 1941 – 11 March 2020), also known as Michel Roux Snr., was a French chef and restaurateur working in Britain. Along with his brother Albert, he opened Le Gavroche, later to become the first three Michelin starred restaurant in Britain, and The Waterside Inn, which was the first restaurant outside France to hold three stars for 25 years. Roux followed his brother into becoming a pastry chef, and again to England in order to open their first restaurant. Together they have been described as the "godfathers of modern restaurant cuisine in the UK", and Roux was inducted into several French orders, and received two lifetime achievement awards from different publications. He was decorated during a period of National Service for France during the 1960s. Laëtitia Roux (born 21 June 1985) is a French ski mountaineer. Roux was born in Savines-le-Lac and started ski-mountaineering at the age of nine. In autumn of 2005, she joined the PACA section of the Fédération française de la montagne et de l’escalade (FFME). She competed in December of the same year at the Alpi-Champsaur race. Kenneth Roux is an American academic biologist whose research addresses structural analysis of the AIDS viruses HIV-1 and SIV, and the antibodies that neutralize them, as well as food- allergen characterization and immunoassay development. He is the Kurt G. Hofer Professor of Biological Science at Florida State University (FSU), where he is affiliated with the Institute of Molecular Biophysics. He has been a member of FSU's biological science faculty since 1978. Roux received his B.S. degree from Delaware Valley College (now Delaware Valley University) in 1970 and then attended Tulane University, from which he received his M.S. in 1972 and his Ph.D. in 1974.
