Rosvita Dransfeld
Rosvita Dransfeld, sometimes credited as Rosie Dransfeld, is a Canadian documentary filmmaker. She is most noted for her 2009 film '' Broke'', which won the Donald Brittain Award for Best Social or Political Documentary at the 25th Gemini Awards in 2010. Her other films have included '' Anti-Social Limited'' (2014), which was a Donald Brittain Award nominee at the 4th Canadian Screen Awards in 2016, and ''Her Last Project'', which was broadcast as an episode of ''CBC Docs POV'' in October 2020. Niobe Thompson
Niobe Thompson is a Canadian anthropologist and documentary film maker. The founder of Handful of Films, he produces and hosts one-off and series documentaries in partnership with CBC's science-and-nature program ''The Nature of Things''. He has won three Canadian Screen Awards for "Best Science and Nature Documentary" (''Code Breakers'', 2011; ''The Great Human Odyssey'', 2015; ''Equus - Story of the Horse'', 2019), his films have won 32 Alberta Film Awards, and he is a two-time winner of the Edmonton Film Prize. Thompson studied Russian at the University of Alberta and McGill University before completing a masters at London's School of Slavonic and East European Studies. Thomas Waugh
Thomas Waugh is a Canadian critic, lecturer, author, actor, and activist, best known for his extensive work on documentary film and eroticism in the history of LGBT cinema and art. A professor emeritus at Concordia University, he taught 41 years in the film studies program of the School of Cinema and held a research chair in documentary film and sexual representation. He was also the director of the Concordia HIV/AIDS Project, 1993-2017, a program providing a platform for research and conversations involving HIV/AIDS in the Montréal area.
