Ross Whiteley
Ross Andrew Whiteley (born 13 September 1988) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Derbyshire. Biography Whiteley was born in Sheffield. He played with the Derbyshire Second XI from the 2006 season, in the Second XI Championship and Trophy. In the 2008 season Whiteley made his List A debut in September in a Pro40 game against Glamorgan followed shortly by his First-class debut against Leicestershire in the County Championship. He also played three Pro40 matches in the 2009 season. He is a left-handed batsman. In the 2012 season Whiteley hit the winning runs that promoted Derbyshire as Division 2 winners into Division 1. On 25 July 2013, Whiteley signed for the remaining 2013 season and a further 3 years with Worcestershire County Cricket Club. Making his debut on 26 July 2013. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. 2022 Season Of The Hundred
The 2022 season of The Hundred will be the second season of The Hundred, a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales. The competition will return after its first season, which was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and faced strong opposition from traditional cricket fans. Despite this more than 500,000 tickets were sold for the first year of the competition and the contest was seen as a major boost for the women's game. The Hundred's organisers hope that more overseas players will be able to take part in this second season due to the relaxation of lockdown restrictions as the pandemic recedes. The Hundred is a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and eight women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales. The tournament is run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and took place for the first time in July and August 2021. The format was invented with the expectation that each match lasts around two-and-a-half hours. The BBC showed free-to-air broadcasts of the competition, while all of the women's matches and some of the men's matches were available to stream for free on Sky Sports' YouTube channel.
