Rosenstadt Brewery
Rosenstadt Brewery is a brewery in Portland, Oregon, United States, making German-style beers that follow Reinheitsgebot German purity law. History In 2013, Tobias Hahn and Nick Greiner met at the German American Society in Portland, where both had children in German language classes. An hour later, they ran into each other at a brewing supply store, and discovered that they both wanted to make German-style beer. Hahn grew up in Wiehre, Germany and studied microbiology at the University of Freiburg and wanted to bring traditional German beer to the United States. Eventually, Hahn and Greiner founded Rosenstadt Brewery in 2015, making beer that follows the traditional Reinheitsgebot German purity law. Rosenstadt does not have its own brewing facility or taproom, but has used other breweries' systems during down time. Lager () is beer which has been brewed and conditioned at low temperature. Lagers can be pale, amber, or dark. Pale lager is the most widely consumed and commercially available style of beer. Olympia Provisions (formerly Olympic Provisions) is an American meat and restaurant company that produces artisan charcuterie based out of Portland, Oregon. Background and history Founded in 2009 as Olympic Provisions, the company began as Oregon's first USDA salumeria in a 900 square foot production facility attached to a European-inspired restaurant in the Olympic Cereal Mill building. The owners came from a variety of backgrounds, with Nate Tilden also co-owning Clyde Common and Elias Cairo having background as a chef and first generation Greek-American. The idea began when Elias Cairo decided he wanted to open a meat plant inside of a restaurant, and he gathered a group of cofounders which included his sister Michelle, Tilden, Martin Schwartz, and Tyler Gaston. Olympia Provisions Public House, formerly known as OP Wurst, is a public house in Portland, Oregon owned and operated by Olympia Provisions. History In 2016, Olympia Provisions opened a small bar-restaurant in Pine Street Market called OP Wurst. The restaurant served artisan frankfurters, sausages, and beer. Later that year, the company opened a second OP Wurst location in Oregon City at Oregon City Brewing. In March 2017, a third location opened on Division Street in Southeast Portland's Richmond neighborhood. The Division Street location was the first OP Wurst located in a stand-alone building. Clyde Common
Clyde Common was a restaurant and market in Portland, Oregon, United States. The business opened in 2007. In 2020, Clyde Common closed temporarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reopening in July with outdoor dining and as a market. The bar and restaurant became known as Clyde Tavern, and the part of the former dining area was called Common Market. Clyde Common closed permanently in January 2022.
