Montreal is one of the administrative regions of the Canadian province of Quebec. It is also a territory equivalent to a regional county municipality (TE) and a census division (CD), for both of which its geographical code is 66. Prior to the merger of the municipalities in ''Region 06'' in 2002, the administrative region was co-extensive with the Montreal Urban Community. Sophie Labelle is a Canadian cartoonist, public speaker, and writer. She is known for her webcomic ''Assigned Male'', which draws upon her experiences as a trans girl and woman. She is an activist in the transgender rights movement, and speaks on the subjects of trans history and transfeminism. Early life Labelle grew up in rural Quebec, near Châteauguay. She worked as an elementary school teacher, and was the camp coordinator for Gender Creative Kids Canada. Mercier is a provincial electoral district in the Montreal region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It consists of part of the Le Plateau-Mont-Royal borough of the city of Montreal. It was created for the 1966 election from parts of Montréal-Mercier and Montréal–Saint-Louis electoral districts. It consists of part of the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough of Montreal. The riding covers the neighbourhoods of La Petite-Patrie and Parc Molson, plus a small part of Vieux-Rosemont. Jeanne-Mance–Viger is a provincial electoral district in the Montreal region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It corresponds exactly to the territory of the Saint-Léonard borough of the city of Montreal. The current MNA is Filomenna Rotiroti who was first elected in 2008. It was created for the 2003 election from Jeanne-Mance and part of Viger and has remained a Liberal stronghold ever since. It is the safest Liberal electoral district in Montreal's east end. Rita Dionne-Marsolais
Rita Dionne-Marsolais (born April 20, 1947) is a former Quebec politician and economist. She was the Member of National Assembly of Quebec for the riding of Rosemont in the Montreal region and represented the Parti Québécois from 1994 to 2008. Dionne-Marsolais went at the Université de Montréal and obtained a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in econometrics. She later became an economist at Hydro-Québec and was an assistant to the company's president. She was also the vice-president in the development sector for the Société générale de financement. After being the Quebec delegate in New York, she was an economist for Price Waterhouse. In addition, she was an administration member of the Ordre des architectes du Québec, the Quebec Bar, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Saint-Luc Hospital in Montreal and the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal as well as the free trade committee. Jean-François Lisée (born February 13, 1958) is a Quebec nationalist politician who served as the leader of the Parti Québécois from October 2016 until October 2018. He was first elected a member of the National Assembly of Quebec in the 2012 Quebec election in the electoral district of Rosemont. Prior to winning political office, he was a political analyst, journalist, author, intellectual and sovereignist thinker.
