Rosamorada
Rosamorada () is a municipality of the state of Nayarit in Mexico. It is located in the extreme north of the state. Most of the population is still rural with the major settlements being Rosamorada with 3,393 inhabitants; San Vicente with 4,556; Los Pericos with 2,441; Chilapa with 2,277; Pimientillo with 1,824 and El Tamarindo with 1,544. Rosamorada takes its name from the existence of a leafy tree of purple flowers called "clavellina" once found in the center of the town.

Chilapa, Nayarit
Chilapa is a settlement in the municipality of Rosamorada in the state of Nayarit, Mexico, 80 kilometres north of the city of Tepic, on national highway number 15. It is located between Rosamorada on the north, El Tamarindo and San Vicente on the south, Paso Real del Bejuco on the east and Colonia 18 de Marzo on the west. There are several versions regarding the origin of the word "Chilapa." An accepted one affirms that it is derived from the Nahuatl word: "chilapan" or "Chilar in the water." According to the last census Chilapa has population of 1,856 people. History Its foundation is directly related to the former cattle estate found there. The ranch was founded in 1713 when the King of Spain sold to Mrs. Francisca Ramon de Moncada the property for 330 gold currency. Through the pass of time, the land changed owners. Nayarit
Nayarit (), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Nayarit ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Nayarit), is one of the 31 states that, along with Mexico City, comprise the Federal Entities of Mexico. Ruíz, Nayarit
Ruiz is a municipality and the municipal seat of the same located in the north of the Mexican state of Nayarit. Origin of the name The name was given to honor General Mariano Ruiz (1846–1932), soldier of the Mexican Revolution and last political leader of the territory of Tepic, who lived in and supplied the settlement until 1910. El Nayar
El Nayar is a municipality in the Mexican state of Nayarit. The population was 30,551 in 2005 in a total area of 5,100 km². The municipal seat of Jesús María had a population of 1,520 in 2005. El Nayar is the home of the Huichol, Cora, and the Tepehuán Indians. El Nayar is the largest municipality by land area in the state. Its area makes up 18.46% of the surface of the state. It is sparsely populated. The name of the municipality is in honor of the tribal chief Cora Naye, Nayar, or Nayarit, caudillo, legislator, and king; defender of his tribe who successfully maintained the Huacica or Xécora kingdom. Nayarit was named leader of the Cora around the year 1500. During his reign, he was able to resist the Spanish incursions into the mountains and preserve his kingdom. The Sierra Madre Occidental is a major mountain range system of the North American Cordillera, that runs northwest–southeast through northwestern and western Mexico, and along the Gulf of California.
