Rosalía Mera
Rosalía Mera Goyenechea (28 January 1944 – 15 August 2013) was a Spanish businesswoman and entrepreneur. At the time of her death, she was the richest woman in Spain and the world's richest self-made woman. In 1975, she co-founded the Zara retail chain with her then-husband Amancio Ortega Gaona. The company grew to become the world's largest fashion retailer. Early life and education Rosalia Mera Goyenechea was born in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain on 28 January 1944. She dropped out of school at age eleven to work as a sales assistant in a clothing shop. Career Mera began designing gowns and lingerie in her home with her then-husband, Amancio Ortega Gaona. A Coruña (; es, La Coruña ; historical English: Corunna or The Groyne) is a city and municipality of Galicia, Spain. Mariano Rajoy Brey (; born 27 March 1955) is a Spanish politician who served as Prime Minister of Spain from 2011 to 2018, when a vote of no confidence ousted his government. On 5 June 2018, he announced his resignation as People's Party leader. He became Leader of the People's Party in 2004 and Prime Minister in 2011 following the People's Party landslide victory in that year's general election becoming the sixth President of the Spanish Government. Oleiros is a municipality of northwestern Spain in the province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia.
