Ron Stone (reporter)
Ron Stone (April 6, 1936 – May 13, 2008) was an American news anchor at KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas for 20 years from 1972 to 1992. He was called "the most popular and revered news anchor the city has ever known" by the ''Houston Chronicle''. He was president of Stonefilms, Inc., a Texas production company. Education and early career Stone attended college and received a B.A. from East Central State University. He had an M.L.A. degree from Houston Baptist University. Paula Ann Zahn (; born February 24, 1956) is an American journalist and newscaster who has been an anchor at ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, and CNN. She currently produces and hosts the true crime documentary series ''On the Case with Paula Zahn'' on the Investigation Discovery channel. Renal Cell Carcinoma
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a kidney cancer that originates in the lining of the proximal convoluted tubule, a part of the very small tubes in the kidney that transport primary urine. RCC is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults, responsible for approximately 90–95% of cases. RCC occurrence shows a male predominance over women with a ratio of 1.5:1. RCC most commonly occurs between 6th and 7th decade of life. Initial treatment is most commonly either partial or complete removal of the affected kidney(s). Where the cancer has not metastasised (spread to other organs) or burrowed deeper into the tissues of the kidney, the five-year survival rate is 65–90%, but this is lowered considerably when the cancer has spread. ''The Eyes of Texas'' is a long-running regional television series which aired original episodes from 1969 to 1999. The program focused on unique people, events, and places throughout the state of Texas. It was produced and syndicated by KPRC-TV and Stonefilms, both in Houston.
