Ron Hackenberger
Ronald Ray Hackenberger (born 1935/1936) is an American businessman and car collector. He started as a truck driver, and then ran his own trucking business, before moving into ranching, real estate, and hospitality. He bought his first Studebaker at 15, and had a collection of over 700 vehicles, including over 250 Studebakers, which were all sold at auction in July 2017. Career Hackenberger worked as a truck driver before starting his own trucking business, growing to 100 trucks and trailers. Hackenberger sold the trucking business, and then bought a cattle ranch in Texas. He also expanded into hospitality and real estate businesses. He now has a campground and catering service business in Ohio. Car collector Hackenberger started collecting cars in 1962. Crosley
Crosley was a small, independent American manufacturer of subcompact cars, bordering on microcars. At first called the Crosley Corporation and later Crosley Motors Incorporated, the Cincinnati, Ohio, firm was active from 1939 to 1952, interrupted by World War II production. Their station wagons were the most popular model, but also offered were sedans, pickups, convertibles, a sports car, and even a tiny jeep-like vehicle. For export, the cars were badged Crosmobile. Amphicar
The Amphicar Model 770 is an amphibious automobile which was launched at the 1961 New York Auto Show, manufactured in West Germany and marketed from 1961 to 1968. Production stopped in 1965. Designed by Hans Trippel, the amphibious vehicle was manufactured by the Quandt Group at Lübeck and at Berlin-Borsigwalde, with a total of 3,878 manufactured in a single generation. A descendant of the Volkswagen Schwimmwagen, the Amphicar offered only modest performance compared to most contemporary boats or cars, featured navigation lights and flag as mandated by the US Coast Guard — and, after operation in water, required greasing at 13 points, one of which required removal of the rear seat. The Indian Chief is a motorcycle that was built by the Hendee Manufacturing Company and the subsequent Indian Company from 1922 to the end of the company's production in 1953, and again from 1999 to present.The Chief was Indian's "big twin", a larger, more powerful motorcycle than the more agile Scout used in competition and sport riding. Studebaker Avanti
The Studebaker Avanti is a personal luxury coupe manufactured and marketed by Studebaker Corporation between June 1962 and December 1963. A halo car for the maker, it was marketed as "America's only four-passenger high-performance personal car." Described as "one of the more significant milestones of the postwar industry", the Raymond Loewy-designed car offered safety features and high-speed performance. Called “the fastest production car in the world” upon its introduction, a modified Avanti reached over with its supercharged R3 engine at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
