Ron Andrew
Ronald Edward Harold Andrew (born 5 January 1936) is an English former footballer who played for Port Vale and Stoke City. A centre-half, he played 137 games in an eight-year career in the Football League. Career Andrew played for Ellesmere Port Town before joining Stoke City in 1957. He broke into the first-team in 1959–60, playing in 32 matches at centre-back. At the end of what was a very poor season, manager Frank Taylor was replaced by his assistant Tony Waddington, who kept faith with Andrew. He was a regular for the "Potters" in 1960–61 and 1961–62 but lost his place once Waddington had brought in former England international Eddie Clamp in August 1962. He remained at the Victoria Ground, playing in the club's reserves, making the occasional first-team appearance as and when required. Bebington
Bebington () is a town and unparished area within the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, in Merseyside, England. Historically part of Cheshire, it lies south of Liverpool, close to the River Mersey on the eastern side of the Wirral Peninsula. Nearby towns include Birkenhead and Wallasey to the north-northwest, and Heswall to the west-southwest. Bebington railway station opened in 1838 and is situated on the Wirral line of the Merseyrail network. Influenza
Influenza, commonly known as "the flu", is an infectious disease caused by influenza viruses. Symptoms range from mild to severe and often include fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle pain, headache, coughing, and fatigue. These symptoms begin from one to four days after exposure to the virus (typically two days) and last for about 2–8 days. Diarrhea and vomiting can occur, particularly in children. Influenza may progress to pneumonia, which can be caused by the virus or by a subsequent bacterial infection. Other complications of infection include acute respiratory distress syndrome, meningitis, encephalitis, and worsening of pre-existing health problems such as asthma and cardiovascular disease. The Football League Third Division was the third tier of the English football league system in 1920–21 and again from 1958 until 1992. When the FA Premier League was formed, the division become the fourth tier level. In 2004, following the formation of the Football League Championship, the division was renamed Football League Two. Football League First Division
The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. The First Division contained between 12 and 24 clubs, playing each other home and away in a double round robin. The competition was based on two points for a win from 1888 until the increase to three points for a win in 1981. After the creation of the Premier League, the name First Division was given to the second-tier division (from 1992). The name ceased to exist after the 2003–04 First Division season.
