Romulo Valles
Romulo Geolina Valles, D.D. (born July 10, 1951), is the current archbishop of the Archdiocese of Davao in Davao City, on the island of Mindanao, Philippines and the president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines since December 1, 2017. He was the former archbishop of Zamboanga before being appointed to the Davao see. Biography He was ordained a priest on 6 April 1976 at the age of 24. On 6 August 1997, aged 46, he was elevated to a bishop, and appointed to Kidapawan, Philippines. After 9 years, he was elevated to Archbishop of Zamboanga on 13 November 2006. He was appointed Archbishop of Davao on February 12, 2012, Valles took over the Davao archdiocese from Archbishop Fernando Capalla, 77, whose resignation has been accepted by the pontiff. The Most Reverend is a style applied to certain religious figures, primarily within the historic denominations of Christianity, but occasionally in some more modern traditions also. It is a variant of the more common style "The Reverend". Sócrates Buenaventura Villegas (born September 28, 1960) is a Filipino prelate, and a professed member of the Dominican Order, He is the current Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan in Pangasinan, and is the former president of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines, from December 1, 2013 to December 1, 2017, when he finished his second and final term as president of the said conference. Pablo Virgilio Siongco David (born March 2, 1959), also known as "Bishop Ambo", is a Filipino prelate of the Catholic Church. The Archdiocese of Zamboanga (Latin name: ''Archdiocesis Zamboangensis'') is a Catholic archdiocese in the Philippines. Carmelo Dominador Flores Morelos (December 12, 1930 – September 17, 2016) was a Filipino Roman Catholic archbishop. Ordained to the priesthood in 1954, Morelos was appointed as the first bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Butuan in the Philippines in 1967 serving the diocese until 1994 when he transferred to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Zamboanga.
