Romeo Candazo
Romeo "Ome" D. Candazo (June 18, 1952 – August 19, 2013) was a Filipino politician, lawyer, writer and television and radio anchor who served as the representative for Marikina's at-large district from 1992 to 2001. In 1996, he met with a group of editors from the ''Philippine Daily Inquirer'', anonymously testifying against the systematic corruption in the Countrywide Development Fund (CDF). His testimony would later become the subject of the publication's exposé on the CDF. Early life and education Candazo was born in Marikina, Rizal on June 18, 1952. He studied law at the University of the Philippines. He obtained his AB History Degree in 1975 and finished his studies in 1986, passing the bar exam in the following year. The Koalisyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP) (''Coalition of United Filipinos''), also known as the United Opposition, was the political multi-party electoral alliance of the dominant opposition in the Philippines during the 2004 general elections. Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (), abbreviated as Lakas–CMD and popularly known as Lakas, was a political party in the Philippines. Its ideology and that of its successor is heavily influenced by Christian and Islamic democracy. An electoral swing analysis (or swing) shows the extent of change in voter support, typically from one election to another, expressed as a positive or negative percentage. A multi-party swing is an indicator of a change in the electorate's preference between candidates or parties, often between major parties in a two-party system. A swing can be calculated for the electorate as a whole, for a given electoral district or for a particular demographic. A myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to the coronary artery of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is chest pain or discomfort which may travel into the shoulder, arm, back, neck or jaw. Often it occurs in the center or left side of the chest and lasts for more than a few minutes. The discomfort may occasionally feel like heartburn. Other symptoms may include shortness of breath, nausea, feeling faint, a cold sweat or feeling tired. About 30% of people have atypical symptoms. Romero Federico Saenz Quimbo (born December 12, 1969), better known as Miro Quimbo, is a Filipino politician who served as the representative for Marikina's 2nd congressional district from 2010 to 2019. Education Quimbo spent the first two years of elementary school at the Sacred Heart College in Catbalogan, Samar. He transferred to the Marist School in Marikina where he eventually finished his elementary and secondary education. He enrolled at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City for his undergraduate and law degrees. At UP, he was one of the most recognized and accomplished student leaders. Marikina's 2nd Congressional District
Marikina's 2nd congressional district is one of the two congressional districts of the Philippines in the city of Marikina. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 2007. The district was created in 2006 following the passage of Republic Act No. 9364 which amended the 1996 Marikina City Charter (Republic Act No. 8223). It consists of the northern Marikina barangays of Concepcion Uno, Concepcion Dos, Fortune, Marikina Heights, Parang, Nangka and Tumana.
