The Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee ( ro, Comitetul Olimpic și Sportiv Român, COSR) is responsible for Romania's participation in the Olympic Games. Bucharest
Bucharest ( , ; ro, București ) is the capital and largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural, industrial, and financial centre. Irina Deleanu (born November 12, 1975) is a former individual rhythmic gymnast from Romania. Biography In the 1992 World Championships she won the bronze medal in rope. She retired from the sport in 1993. An annual Rhythmic Gymnastics competition held in Bucharest is named after her, ''The Irina Deleanu Cup''. Octavian Morariu
Octavian Morariu (born 7 August 1961) is a Romanian former rugby union player and coach, and is currently the President of Rugby Europe. He is the son of former Romania rugby union international Viorel Morariu and Cornelia Timoșanu a former volleyball player for Romania, which finished second at the 1956 FIVB Volleyball World Championship in France. Morariu played as a Number Eight for Rugby Club Grivița Roșie as a youth. He played in France for ASPTT Paris and was also invited to play for the Barbarians. He earned 2 caps for Romania, from 1984 to 1985 without scoring. From 2001 to 2003, Morariu was president of the Romanian Rugby Federation, and from 2004 to 2014 president of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee. Ion Țiriac (; born 9 May 1939), also known as the "Brașov Bulldozer", is a Romanian businessman and former professional tennis and ice hockey player. He has been president of the Romanian Tennis Federation. A former singles top 10 player on the ATP Tour, Tiriac was the winner of one grand slam title, the 1970 French Open in men's doubles. Țiriac was the first man to play against a woman and defeat her, in a sanctioned tennis tournament (against Abigail Maynard, in 1975). The highlight of his ice hockey career was participating as defenseman in the Romanian national team at the 1964 Winter Olympics.
