Roman Kresta
Roman Kresta (born 24 April 1976 in the Czech Republic), is a Czech professional rally driver. In 2005, he drove for Ford in the World Rally Championship. His co-driver was Jan Tománek. The pair won the Czech national rally championship in 2000, prior to their début in the WRC. Kresta's first World Rally was the 2001 Acropolis Rally, driving a Ford Focus WRC. He has also driven for the works Skoda team, and as a privateer with Hyundai and Peugeot. His performances in his sole season with the works Ford World Rally Team in 2005 were not enough to prevent him from losing his seat to Mikko Hirvonen at the end of the season. However, he scored points in 11 of the 16 rallies held that season, achieving two fifth places in Corsica and Spain. Toni Gardemeister
Toni Gardemeister (born 31 March 1975) is a Finnish professional rally driver in the World Rally Championship. After previously competing for SEAT's, Mitsubishi's, Škoda's and Ford's factory teams, as well as for privateer teams, he joined the Suzuki World Rally Team for the 2008 season. Career Early From the outset of his career Gardemeister had shown himself as a driver of some promise. He won the Finnish Rally Championship Group a (under 2000 cc) title in 1997 behind the wheel of a Nissan Sunny and was driving for the Spanish car firm SEAT for limited outings in 1998 with the Ibiza. He was to become a world championship mainstay by the year 2000 in the firm's Córdoba WRC as team-mate to former world champion Didier Auriol. Jolly Club was an Italian motor racing team, which competed in the World Rally Championship, the Sportscar World Championship, the European Touring Car Championship and briefly in the Formula One World Championship, along with several domestic championships, it was mainly connected to brands like Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Ferrari. 2010 Cyprus Rally
The 2010 FxPro Cyprus Rally, was the 12th round of the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) season. The fourteen stage mixed surface rally took place over 4–6 November 2010. As well as being the final round of the IRC, the event formed the penultimate round of the 2010 Middle East Rally Championship (MERC). Introduction The rally, which was based in Limassol, had a all-asphalt Super Special Stage, purpose-built at Limassol's extensive port facilities being run twice during the event. With both the drivers and manufacturers titles already decided, none of the top competitors in the IRC made the trip to the event. Andreas Mikkelsen, who was seventh in the championship heading into the event, was the highest placed driver to take part. Other IRC regulars included Daniel Oliveira and Burcu Çetinkaya. 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge Season
The 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge was the fifth season of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. The season consisted of twelve rounds and started on 19 January with the Monte Carlo Rally. The season ended on November 6, at the Cyprus Rally. Juho Hänninen became the drivers' champion after winning Rally Scotland, the third of his rally wins during the season. Hänninen also won in Argentina and Sardinia as he finished on the podium in ten of the eleven events that he contested during the season, of which three wins and four second places counted towards the championship's best seven scores rule. Škoda Motorsport team-mate Jan Kopecký finished in second place, some 18 points behind Hänninen. The 2010 Neste Oil Rally Finland was the 60th Rally Finland and the eighth round of the 2010 World Rally Championship season. The rally took place over July 29–31, and is based in Jyväskylä, the capital of the Central Finland region. The rally was also the fifth round of the Production World Rally Championship and the sixth round of the Super 2000 World Rally Championship. 2010 Rally Sweden
The 2010 Rally Sweden was the opening round of the 2010 World Rally Championship season. It was the season's first and only event held on snow- and ice-covered gravel roads. The rally was held over February 11–14, beginning with a Super Special Stage in the event's base town of Karlstad. The rally was also the first round of both the Production Car World Rally Championship, and the brand-new Super 2000 World Rally Championship. The rally was the first to incorporate the new points system introduced to all classes for the 2010 season. Group N
In relation to international motorsport governed by the FIA, Group N refers to regulations providing 'standard' large scale series production vehicles for competition. They are limited in terms of modifications permitted to the standard specification by the manufacturer making them a cost effective method of production vehicle motorsport. Often referred to as the "showroom class", Group N contrasts with Group A which has greater freedom to modify and tune the cars to be more suitable to racing. Both Groups may have the same or similar models homologated by a manufacturer. Group N was introduced by the FIA in 1982 to replace the outgoing Group 1 as "''standard touring cars''".
