Roman Catholic Diocese Of San Pablo
The Diocese of San Pablo (Latin: ''Dioecesis Sancti Pauli in Insulis Philippinis'', Filipino: Diyosesis ng San Pablo, Spanish: ''Diócesis de San Pablo'') is a Roman Catholic diocese which is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Manila. Its patron saint or titular is Saint Paul the Hermit, the only one in the world dedicated to him. Location The diocese covers the entire province of Laguna. It is bordered southwest by the Archdiocese of Lipa in Batangas, north by the Diocese of Antipolo in Rizal and the Laguna de Bay, west by the Diocese of Imus in Cavite, east by the Prelature of Infanta and southeast by the Diocese of Lucena in Quezon, and northwest by the Diocese of Parañaque in Metro Manila. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Antipolo (Lat: ''Dioecesis Antipolensis''; Filipino: ''Diyosesis ng Antipolo'') is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church in the Philippines that comprises the Province of Rizal and the city of Marikina in Metro Manila. On January 24, 1983, during his Angelus message, Pope John Paul II announced the creation of the Diocese of Antipolo, which would encompass the whole province of Rizal, the entire Marikina, and part of Pasig (Barangays Dela Paz, Santolan, Manggahan, Rosario, and Santa Lucia, which altogether formed the Vicariate of Santo Tomas de Villanueva, now belonging to the Diocese of Pasig). Francisco Capiral San Diego (October 10, 1935 – August 26, 2015) was the Bishop-Emeritus of the Diocese of Pasig, a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Manila in the Metro Manila region of the Philippines. Biography Francisco Capiral San Diego was born October 10, 1935, at Lawa, Obando, Bulacan. He spent his elementary years at Obando Elementary School, and was a high school salutatorian at Western Colleges in Naic, Cavite. He underwent Special Latin Course at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Minor Seminary, then proceeded to San Carlos Seminary for his philosophical and theological studies. He was ordained to the priesthood December 21, 1963, by the Auxiliary Bishop of Manila, Hernando Antiporda.
