Latin liturgical rites, or Western liturgical rites, are Catholic rites of public worship employed by the Latin Church, the largest particular church ''sui iuris'' of the Catholic Church, that originated in Europe where the Latin language once dominated. Apartadó () is a town and municipality in the Antioquia Department, Colombia. "Apartadó" means "river of plantains" in the local Indian language. The town is located near the Atlantic Ocean in the Gulf of Urabá, the economy is based in bananas, plantain, corn, cassava, cocoa, wood and livestock. The mean maximum temperature is and the relative humidity is above 80% all year round. Apartadó is divided in 48 neighborhoods, and here is the best high school of the region of Urabá Antioquia. Monsignor Isaías Duarte Cancino (San Gil, Santander, February 15, 1939 - Cali, Valle del Cauca, March 16, 2002) was a Colombian Catholic priest, who from 1995 until the day of his death was archbishop of the Archdiocese of Cali. In 2012 Colombian justice determined that it was the commander of the Eastern Bloc of the FARC who gave the order to assassinate Duarte.
