Rolling Oaks Mall
Rolling Oaks Mall is a regional shopping mall located in northeast San Antonio, Texas, at the intersection of Loop 1604 and Nacogdoches Road. It is anchored by Dillard's and JCPenney. There are two vacant anchor stores that were once Sears and Macy's. History The mall developed by Simon Property Group opened in 1988, with anchor stores Dillard's and Sears, in a remote location surrounded mostly by farmland on the Northeast side of the city. As a result of miscalculated growth projections in the area and a less than ideal location the mall initially struggled. A 6-screen movie theater operated by Act III Theaters under the Santikos Entertainment brand opened in 1991, and a Beall's in 1995. The theater and Beall's closed in 2001. The theater space eventually became a skate park and is now an Inflatable Wonderland. The Beall's space reopened as an H&M outlet in 2017. San Antonio Public Library
The San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) is the public library system serving the city of San Antonio, Texas. It consists of a central library, 29 branch libraries (as of the fall of 2017), and a library portal. SAPL was awarded the National Medal for Museum and Library Service in 2006. In 2003, SAPL celebrated its centennial. New patrons received special centennial gold library cards instead of the usual purple cards. Sears, Roebuck and Co. Converse is a city in Bexar County, Texas, United States, northeast of downtown San Antonio. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 27,466. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 2017, Converse proposed the annexation of 12 mi2 of territory near Randolph Air Force Base in northeastern Bexar County. Foley's was a chain of department stores owned by May Department Stores and headquartered in Downtown Houston, Texas.
