Roland McKeown
Roland McKeown (born January 20, 1996) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract with the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). McKeown was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round (50th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Junior Kingston Frontenacs McKeown was selected by the Kingston Frontenacs with their first round pick, second overall, in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. McKeown played in his first OHL game on September 21, 2012, getting no points in a 3–1 win over the Barrie Colts. Charlotte Checkers
The Charlotte Checkers are a minor-league professional ice hockey team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the American Hockey League (AHL), and are the top minor league affiliate of the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Matěj Machovský (born 25 July 1993) is a Czech professional ice hockey Goaltender currently is a free agent. Playing career Machovský spent three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) prior to beginning his professional career. In 112 games with the Brampton Battalion and five with the Guelph Storm, he posted a 56–45–13 record, 2.54 goals-against average (GAA), 0.901 save percentage and nine shutouts. The 2014–15 OHL season was the 35th season of the Ontario Hockey League, in which twenty teams played 68 games each according to the regular season schedule, from September 24, 2014 to March 22, 2015. The Niagara IceDogs began play at their new arena, the Meridian Centre. The Ottawa 67's returned to TD Place Arena after a two-year hiatus due to a renovation. Scotiabank Saddledome is a multi-use indoor arena in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Peterborough Petes are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. The team has played at the Peterborough Memorial Centre in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, since 1956, and is the oldest continuously operating team in the league. 2013–14 OHL Season
The 2013–14 OHL season was the 34th season of the Ontario Hockey League. The Brampton Battalion relocated to North Bay and became the North Bay Battalion, playing at the North Bay Memorial Gardens. The first two outdoor games in OHL history were held this season, when the Saginaw Spirit, Windsor Spitfires, Plymouth Whalers, and London Knights played at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan as part of the Hockeytown Winter Festival on December 29. On March 11, 2014 Terry Trafford of the Saginaw Spirit, who had been missing for eight days, was found dead in his vehicle at a Wal-Mart in Saginaw, Michigan.
