Peter Rohde
Peter Rohde (born 19 November 1964) is a former Australian Football League (AFL) player and coach. Playing career Carlton Rohde came from the Bendigo region and made his Victorian Football League (VFL) debut for Carlton Football Club in 1985. He played total of 46 games and kicked six goals for the club from 1985 until 1987. Rohde left Carlton at the end of the 1987 season, because the Carlton coach Robert Walls had a low opinion of Rohde's playing ability and dropped him from the side during the 1987 finals campaign, when Carlton ended up winning the premiership. Melbourne Rohde transferred to Melbourne Football Club, where he played 117 games and kicked 22 goals from 1988 until he retired in 1995. The Melbourne coach John Northey had a high opinion of Rohde's playing ability, but Rohde was plagued by injury. Joseph Rohde is the ''Experience Architect'' for Virgin Galactic. Rohde was previously a veteran executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, the division of The Walt Disney Company that designs and builds Disney's theme parks and resort hotels. Rohde's formal title was ''Executive Designer and Vice President, Creative.'' Rohde was born in Sacramento, California and raised in Hawaii. Klaus Rohde (born 1932 in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany) is a German biologist at the University of New England (UNE), Australia, known particularly for his work on marine parasitology, evolutionary ecology/zoogeography, and phylogeny/ultrastructure of lower invertebrates. Early life and education Rohde studied zoology, botany, physics, physiological chemistry in Potsdam ( Brandenburgische Landeshochschule, Germany) from 1950–1952, and, after moving from East- to West-Germany, in Münster/Westfalen (Germany) from 1953–1956. Gilbert Rohde
Gilbert Rohde (1894–1944), whose career as a furniture and industrial designer helped to define American modernism during its first phase from the late 1920s to World War II, is best known today for inaugurating modern design at Herman Miller Inc. Background Beginning in 1932, and continuing up to the time of his death in 1944, Rohde advised Herman Miller's president, Dirk Jan De Pree on design, marketing, and production. Helmut Rohde (9 November 1925 – 16 April 2016) was a German politician who served as federal minister of education and science from 1974 to 1978. Early life and education Rohde was born in Hanover on 9 November 1925. His father, August, was a welder and a social democrat member of the independent trade union. Helmut Rohde fought in the German army in World War II and was prisoned until 1945 when he was freed. He studied journalism following the war and graduated in 1947. In 1950, he began to study politics and business in a higher education institution in Wilhelmshaven, which later became part of the University of Göttingen. Eleanour (Sophy) Sinclair Rohde (1881–1950) was a British gardener, garden designer, and horticultural writer. She authored thirty books on gardening between 1913 and 1948, and is best known for her book, ''The Scented Garden'', published in 1931. Gabriele Rohde
Gabriele Rohde (1904–1946) was a Danish League of Nations official in the 1930s and, during the Second World War, a member of the Danish Council (''Det danske Råd'') in London. She provided strong support in particular for Danish seafarers, creating a seamen's club in Newcastle. In 1943, Rohde travelled to Canada and the United States where she became an advisor to Henrik Kauffmann, the Danish ambassador in Washington. She assisted him in particular with his participation in the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) conference which was held in Atlantic City that November. Shortly after returning to Denmark at the end of the war, she died in a tragic accident. Dennis Rohde (born 24 June 1986) is a German lawyer and politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Lower Saxony since 2013 elections.
