Peter Rohde
Peter Rohde (born 19 November 1964) is a former Australian Football League (AFL) player and coach. Playing career Carlton Rohde came from the Bendigo region and made his Victorian Football League (VFL) debut for Carlton Football Club in 1985. He played total of 46 games and kicked six goals for the club from 1985 until 1987. Rohde left Carlton at the end of the 1987 season, because the Carlton coach Robert Walls had a low opinion of Rohde's playing ability and dropped him from the side during the 1987 finals campaign, when Carlton ended up winning the premiership. Melbourne Rohde transferred to Melbourne Football Club, where he played 117 games and kicked 22 goals from 1988 until he retired in 1995. The Melbourne coach John Northey had a high opinion of Rohde's playing ability, but Rohde was plagued by injury. Sandhurst Football Club
The Sandhurst Football Netball Club, nicknamed the ''Dragons'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in Bendigo, Victoria (Australia), Victoria. Sandhurst is the former name of that city. The club teams currently compete in the Bendigo Football League, Bendigo Football Netball League. The football team is the second most-winning team of the BFL, with 27 premierships. History Sandhurst, who were then known as the Maroons, were one of the league's foundation clubs in 1880. They had been formed in June 1861, by Melbourne Football Club rulemaker J. B. Thompson. The club did not play in the BFL from 1901 to 1914, but returned to the league after the war in 1919, and have appeared in every season since. The 2003 AFL season was the 107th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. Rodney Eade
Rodney Eade (born 4 April 1958) is a former Australian rules footballer and coach in the Australian Football League. He is a former coach of the Sydney Swans, the Western Bulldogs and the Gold Coast Football Club. He has, to date, coached 377 games of AFL football, placing him first on the all-time AFL/VFL list of most games coached without a premiership. Playing career Hawthorn Recruited from Glenorchy, while still a schoolboy, young Rodney Eade made his VFL debut for the Hawthorn Football Club as an 18-year-old. Playing with a lot of dash and blistering speed, Eade capped off his debut season by playing in the 1976 premiership team. He went on to play in the Hawks‘ 1978, 1983, and 1986 premierships sides. List Of VFL/AFL Wooden Spoons
The wooden spoon is the imaginary and ironic "award" which is said to be won by the team finishing in last place in the Australian Football League. No physical wooden spoon award exists, other than those brought by opposition fans to taunt struggling teams, nor is such an award officially sanctioned by the VFL/AFL. However, most betting agencies will take wagers on the wooden spoon. Criteria The team which finishes on the bottom of the ladder wins the wooden spoon.
