Rohachyn
Rohachyn (''Ukrainian'': Рогачин, ''Polish'' Rohaczyn, ''Russian'' Rogachin) is a village (of 886 people) in Ternopil Raion (district) of Ternopil Oblast (province) in western Ukraine (the historic region of Eastern Galicia). It belongs to Naraiv rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The first historical mention dates to 1578, when Rohachyn mentioned as property of B. Narajowski. Until 18 July 2020, Rohachyn belonged to Berezhany Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Ternopil Oblast to three. The area of Berezhany Raion was merged into Ternopil Raion. Rohachyn lies in the valley of Narayivka river on its way between Narayiv and Kuryany. Berezhany Raion
Berezhany Raion ( uk, Бережанський район) was a raion (district) in the westernmost corner of Ternopil Oblast (province) in western Ukraine, area traditionally known as Halychyna (''Galicia''). The administrative center was the city of Berezhany, some 50 km away from Ternopil and ca 80 km away from Lviv. Berezhany was separately incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion. The Zolota Lypa river, a tributary of the Dniester tributary crossed the district from the north to the south. The river forms a large lake north of Berezhany. Narayiv
Naraiv, also Narayiv, Narajiv ( uk, Нараїв; pl, Narajów; yi, נאראיעוו, Narayev; he, נאראיוב, Narayuv) is a selo in Ternopil Raion of Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Naraiv rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Naraiv is within Eastern Galicia, former Austrian empire (until 1918). In the past it was a town. The first historical mention dates to 1445. Naraiv is situated along the small river of Naraivka, a tributary of Zolota Lypa in a picturesque natural surrounding of vast beech and hornbeam forests and fertile rolling hills (western part of Podolian Upland, ethno-geographic area of Galician Opillya). Kuriany, Ukraine
Kuriany ( uk, Куряни; pl, Kurzany) is a village of 831 people in Ternopil Raion (district) of Ternopil Oblast (province) in western Ukraine. Kuriany is situated on both sides of the Narayivka River, in a valley surrounded by hills covered with thick forests on both sides. The main Ternopil-Stryi highway runs through town. Kuriany belongs to Naraiv rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Until 18 July 2020, Kuriany belonged to Berezhany Raion. Pidvysoke, Ternopil Oblast
Pidvysoke ( uk, Підвисоке, pl, Podwysokie) is a village of 317 people in Ternopil Raion of Ternopil Oblast in western part of Ukraine. It is situated along the valley of river Narayivka with forested hills (of about 400 meters above sea level) on both sides of the village. It is the first village when entering Ternopil Raion and Ternopil Oblast by highway Stryi-Kirovohrad from the side of Rohatyn and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. Vasyl Chornyi (born October 3, 1987) is a Ukrainian footballer playing with FC Ukraine United in the Ontario Soccer League. Career Chornyi began his career in 2005 with Nyva Ternopil in the Ukrainian Second League. The following year he played in the Ukrainian Amateur Football Championship with Ternopil-Burevisnyk, where he won the Championship of the Ternopil Oblast. A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality. It was established by the Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Similar terms exist in Poland (''gromada'') and in Belarus (''hramada'').
