Rodrigo Sorogoyen
Rodrigo Sorogoyen del Amo (born 16 September 1981) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He won the Goya Award for Best Director and the Goya Award for Best Original Screenplay for '' The Realm''. He was previously nominated for the Goya Award for Best New Director for '' Stockholm'', and the Goya Award for Best Director and the Goya Award for Best Original Screenplay for ''May God Save Us''. For the short film ''Mother'', Sorogoyen won the Goya Award for Best Fictional Short Film and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. 33rd Goya Awards
The 33rd Goya Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (AACCE), honored the best in Spanish films of 2018 and took place at the Conference and Exhibition Centre of Seville on 2 February 2019. The ceremony was televised in Spain by the Spanish public television (TVE) and was hosted by television presenter and comedian Andreu Buenafuente and actress Silvia Abril. It was also televised for the international public by the TVE Internacional channel. It was the second time that the ceremony was held outside of Madrid, the other one being the 14th edition that took place in Barcelona. ''The Beasts'' ( gl, As bestas) is a 2022 Spanish-French thriller film directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, who co-wrote the screenplay with Isabel Peña.
