Marco Tulio Aicardi Rivera (23 May 1946 – 24 October 2007), better known by the name Rodolfo, was a Colombian singer of tropical music who was active from the 1960s until his death. Discos Fuentes is a record label based in Medellín, Colombia, South America. Founded in 1934 in Cartagena, Colombia, by Antonio Fuentes Estrada, Discos Fuentes was the country's first notable record label. The label was instrumental in introducing Colombia to such Afro-rhythm genres as cumbia, fandango, merengue, porro, and salsa. The label also helped forge the early careers for such musicians and composers as Guillermo Buitrago, Rafael Escalona, and Julio César Bovea. Gustavo de Jesus Quintero Morales, better known as "El Loko", (23 December 1939 – 18 December 2016) was a Colombian singer-songwriter. He is considered one of the great representatives of the Colombian tropical music. Early life Quintero studied at the Édgar Poe Restrepo school in Medellín and from an early age he has shown his musical skills. He participated in choirs of churches and received classes at the school of Fine Arts in Medellín. "La Colegiala" ("the collegian", or "girl student" in Spanish language, Spanish) is a Latin iconic song composed in 1975 by Walter León Aguilar, leader of the Peruvian Cumbia music, Cumbia ensemble "Los Ilusionistas", and made hugely popular in the early 1980s by the Colombian singer Rodolfo Aicardi, crediting it to Rodolfo y su Tipica RA7. La Sonora Dinamita is a Mexican- Colombian musical group that plays cumbia, a Tropical music genre from Colombia but popular throughout Latin America.
